Hi,

Any news on PPR for the people who already paid RPRF and submitted bio data?

Hi abgh, I am a AUG 2012 applicant. Completed medicals in Aug 2013, still no news. I paid RPRF and sent Bio Date already,... Still nothing.

I am an Aug 2012 applicant and completed the medicals on Aug 3 2013
After 1 month the doctor called me and stated that I had to do the blood test again as there was something wrong
Then after, the doctor told me it is all good... there is nothing bad, just a genetic thing which I should be alright.

I emailed CIC in Dec and they advised me that the medicals were set as an extension and that nothing more was needed...
I know everything is ok with my medicals.

Just need some input from experienced members who can tell me about their experience - how long do they take to make the decision...
The reason is that my WP is expiring in Feb 27, 2014 - I am the dependent (Spouse) of the principal applicant and her WO expires in June 28 2014. If not received within a week, I have to apply for extension of residence permit and wait for within 4 months of my spouse work permit to expire, then apply for an open work permit as the same time my spouse will apply the BOWP.

Seniors: Please advise. Thanks.

Please advise.

no update abgh on PPR

up to this point I simply do not care anymore.....applied on July 27, 2012 and ME was done by April 2013 followed by RPRF and biodata in May. Then the whole thing came to a hibernation! According to my notes, all things has been cleared except security, the due date changed from Dec 2013 to Jan 2014 and now god knows what. 8 months under security check seriously?

I am in the same position as you. I did medicals in June and since then nothing. I had the local MP call as well as order GCMS notes and both came back with the same answer - background check in progress. Seriously, does it take more than 7 months to run the background check! I haven't even travelled to any country other then England for a 2 week vacation.

Ture, It is very hard to say anything when it comes to background check or security check. Most of cases get thier PPR in a month after getting MR, and for us it has been 8 months since we did our medicals.

I thought I am the only one left:) applied July 23, 2012, medicals Sep 2013......I guess as soon as CIC finish 80% applications they just forget about the rest of 20% and move forward to applications from next months,

the most ridiculous thing is that I have been working in Canada the whole time. If CSIS is determined that I am a thread to this country, then they should have revoked my visa and kick me out. IT DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE TO GO THROUGH THIS INTENSIVE SECURITY CHECK IF ONE IS ALREADY IN CANADA! The mentality that CSIS has is extremely stupid. Normally after screening, a clean record would lead to a security clearance. But for these CSIS jerks, they would screen you over and over and over again (I can see 4 screening on my notes!) .

Holy......... 4 screenings, how can you tell from your notes??? I am also in Canada for 4.5 years now for the rest of 5 years I was studying back home, I spent all the time in only one university no employment or travelling history so I wonder how hard it is for them to verify this, and they are responsible for the Canadian security....lolz!
