My security is blank. Don't know whether it passed or in progress.

Google find your local mp. You can call mp office.

You should contact local MP . Unless security is passed, your file is going nowhere. I just can't understand the reason behind security being not started. Only if they start security, they can set it as passed.

As long as you don't have prior issues with security ( you have a common name which has been associated with security concerns etc), you should be good. As I said, they cannot do this unless they start security on your file.

Did you email your MP? What is the best way to reach them?

I completed my medicals with my spouse together on August 3, 2013. After exactly 1 month the MP asked me to come to re-do a blood test and it was inconclusive of some sort of findings in my blood. I did it again on Sept 3, 2013.

I got RPRF AND BIO DATA in July 2013 and sent everything.

Still no updates from CIC.

I requested GCMS notes and it stated that medicals have been received and again nothing so far... It has now been almost 4 - 5 .months now after I completed my medicals and still no news.

GCMS also satated that Criminilality passed, Security - Blank....

I just don't get it....

Have been checking my emails and status almost everyday since those 2-3 months...

Anybody else left out there from August/September 2012 besides Meeee? If so please share details... I sent RCMP clearances last week, Everything else has been done for months. Trying to keep a positive attitude that good things will come in the New Year, just hope it's soon!

I am waiting for RPRF and PPR since completing medicals in April. Really want this to be over soon. I will be contacting the MP in Jan.

Even, I am also odd man out (I had completed my medical test on 12 Dec'13), waiting for passport request. Can anyone please let me know what is average waiting time after completion of medical till PP request.

Well, we did our medicals October 12th, they were received and passed early in November, then we got requests for RCMP clearance in mid-December which I sent last week once I got them back from RCMP. I think they requested RCMP clearance/fingerprint because application went past 1 year and original criminal checks were only valid until October 2013, according to GCMS notes....

abgh and amarendrap did either of you receive requests for RCMP/fingerprints? Are you in Canada/ Many people receive CoPR or PPR soon (anytime from a few weeks to 2 months) after medicals - but it seems if you are in Canada and application has gone beyond 1 year, more delays are likely as they have to some updating (ie criminal record checks).....

Good Luck to you both for speedy completion, please keep us posted if you get any word. I am also going to have my MP contact CIC again in a week or so if I have no word....

I did not get any RCMP request. I am in Canada. Have you contacted your MP before as well? I will be doing that soon too.

Yes I contacted my MP several times, his assistant phoned CIC at the beginning of December and got a status update (at that time they said criminality still in progress, everything else was done, just after we received fingerprint request). It is helpful because when I asked her t phone, she called the same day and I had a response within a couple of hours, i am going to have her phone again in a week or 2 if I don't hear anything as I have already confirmed by Canada Post that they received the RCMP clearances..... best of Luck and Happy New Year ;D

I am back to my home country India, don't know whether I have to apply TRV based on PPR or should I apply based on my BOWP.

I haven't got any RCMP clearance or something which I am unaware.
