They received a copy of my new passport on July 29th. They had requested a copy of my new passport in a separate email from the email of the passport request which arrived on the same day. Ecas shows decision made. My passport arrived at CPPO on Tuesday. GCMS notes show deadline to finalize application as August 19th. Why are they telling my MP's office the end of September? I am kind of freaking out.

Managing expectations! If they tell the MP its 1 week and they tell you that, then you can come back in a week again, and the MP would bother them again. This way, they give themselves some time to process everything. Besides, you are already in PPR stage, so I wouldn't worry too much. My thought again is that this is just inter-governmental agency relations typically seen in the public sector (speaking from experience). Give it some time. Just my two scents...

Plus, based on your timeline, it seems that the 13 month processing average would be in September for you - also the initial estimated completion date I assume.

We'll see how it goes. I see people getting their passports back anywhere from a week to 2 months. I just pray that I am part of the former crew.

well, i just want to point out one thing that people always say dont worry about the PR, but to be honest, it is easier to say than done.... .. as those people were not us !!! we are waiting for a year without any news..... if we are worried, that is totally understandable. it is life change moment.... who can not worry about that....

Nicole, u should stop putting pressure on people especially August applicants. it is ok if u continue worrying about urself but let others be. I don't know why it is so difficult for u to understand. our senior member (senoritabella) told u on your most recent thread that each application is unique, she even gave u some reasons why some applications are taking longer than the other and even mentioned the worst scenario which is rejection. so tell me, are u gonna commit suicide if eventually they reject your case???????????. let me use myself as an example: I was denied spousal PR in the past but I am still in Canada Struggling and will never give up.

if u still cant sleep over this matter, u better start preparing for another application, u might even cancel this present one so that u have peace. I am one of those people that believe in God and always think positively but will never kill myself if I get rejected of which I know is very unlikely. My friend, once there is life, there is hope. Worst case, u will be sent back to china, but bear in mind that china is far much better than most third world country. u will still live and survive there regardless, so cheeerrssss ;) ;)

Hi Nicole,

You are all set, your application is almost approved waiting for police clearance to be completed. Once that is completed you will get medicals and application will be approved.

My GCMS was Eligibility in Progress with recommended passed on May 5th, my application is now approved and completed landing on July 06.

Your application is at the end, apply for GCMS once again to track the progress.

Hi ujbaby,

Yes, my file was transferred between multiple VO's as per my GCMS notes.

So far whoever had Recommended pass have received PR. there is a separate thread, don't remember the link. I used to follow that thread before PR approval.

Hope, Patience and Trust in GOD my friend. Everybody will get it.

If you see the stats people who are getting rejected are only for 3 cases,
1. IELTS score mismatch
2. Employment letter and NOC code mismatch
3. Police Clearance or invalid documents

The first 2 comes under eligibility, hence if you are eligibility pass recommended then only pending is police clearance you should be good as long as you have not committed any crime.

just read his last post. he mentioned that his file was transferred between multiple VOs. I don't see the reasons why u keep getting worried. Thanks hopeinshahallah, I do appreciate ur comments.
