Guys i have a quick question regarding GCMS.... I have requested notes second time and status on the notes is as follows.

Eligibility = Passed
Medical = Passed
Criminality= Passed
Security = Not started.

and then in the comments it says.

NAI , PA documents have been reviewed and i am satisfied that PA meets CEC application criteria, PC clearance requested from Home country, Passports records and check records pending.

What does this NAI ? is it No adverse information ? also my understanding is that PC clearance shouldn't been received thats how they made the over all status of criminality as passed .. isnt it ?

can some one please clarify ? ...

What date is on the note?

Baham my understanding is NAI stands for No Adverse Information same as yours.

Sometime immigration officer don't update notes while updating status. As per your status Criminality is done, Medicals Passed, and Eligibility Passed. You will Passport request very shortly may be in couple of weeks. I was in exactly same status on June 2nd 2013 and i got passport request on June 14th 2013.

All the best

Thank you hope for your kind response.... I hope i get the request in couple weeks. The date on the comments is May 30, 2013. so i dont know whats going on... whats taking so long.....

I ordered GCMS notes on June 19 and did not receive it yet. Just the medical request received on July 19. I dont have a clue who is my vo. Also, should I fill in the medical form or the physician has to complete it all by himself and send to CIC?

Do they just do a chest x ray and blood tests?

Congrats Ssuares,

Just one more step before you visit the border.

Generally speaking, 15-25 days. We have seen some people getting their passports back within 2-3 days too and some have been waiting for over 45 days.

You can take a look at the tracker here. And it would be great if you could let us know in that thread, once CIC receives your passport.

Cheers,

Thanks usver,

Just want to check if you applied as single or family? I found in some posts that single applicant are getting the PPR soon after medicals... Don't know if it is correct...

Hi There,

As I just got my medicals - my appointment with the designated medical officer is in 1 week - I am wondering what kind of tests do they do? I am a smoker and also have a problem with my eye; i wear glasses but eventually have to do a surgery in 10 years time. Is that going to affect my medicals? How do they assess it?

Dear krmmtl, I also received almost same response for my PR application under CEC class. Got any idea to prove that we intent to work outside Quebec? Will any notarized affidavit stating that we will not live in quebec once we received PR card would be a good idea? Please respond..

Dear hello3384
it was mkapadia who received the e-mail.
But in my opinion affidavit will not suffice, you should send documents about your job search if you have done any.
All the best

As expected, received the below email from CIC today. Now it is almost certain that it will be rejected. Any suggestions/ways to prevent this?

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada. Please note that your file is in process and will continue to be processed at the Case Processing Pilot-Ottawa (“CPP-O”) office. I am writing you this letter to express my serious concern(s) regarding your application.

You have been working and residing in Montreal, Quebec since your arrival in Canada in May 2010. As per R87.1(1), the Canadian experience class is prescribed as a class of persons who may become permanent residents on the basis of their ability to become economically established in Canada, their experience in Canada, and their intention to reside in a province other than the Province of Quebec. You demonstrate strong ties to the Province of Quebec given your employment history. For this reason, I am not satisfied you intend to reside outside the Province of Quebec. Therefore, I am not satisfied your meet the requirements of the program.

Therefore I am asking you to submit any additional information and/or documentation that would allay my concern(s). You have 60 days from the date of this letter to submit the additional information and/ or documentation to the above address.

Please ensure that you quote the file number indicated at the top of this letter on any information you submit. If you choose not to respond with additional information and/or documentation, or if your submission does not allay these concern(s), your application may be refused.

We look forward to receiving the additional information and/or documentation within 60 days.

Yours truly,

Oh... On your gcms note, they did not mention who is your vo ?

I received my GCMS notes today. Application status is in process with everything (eligibility, medical, RPRF, security) showing as passed/completed except for criminality which shows as in process. The notes at the end state that both RCMP results and the police certificate from my home country were clear so I am not sure why this stage is taking so long.

The deadline noted is August/19/2013 or one year from the date the application was received (also, in less than a month from now)-- fingers crossed.
