I got passport request this morning!

I am not sure what their response will be. u only need to be patient and wait for them to respond

I never heard from CIC regarding my fax request, instead I got my passport yesterday with visa I did miss my appointment for passport renewal, but I won't miss my travel appointment next week. Yay!!

What I learned from my experience with CIC: good cover letters move mountains.

Guys quick question. Once you receive your PPR request can you request CIC to give provide extension for the submission of passport in case your passport is not available in that time span of 90 days ?

Even if someone answer to your question, you must still get a confirmation from CIC. That is the safest way to go.

Second that. Unless CIC grants you more time, I would not take a chance... You're so close to completing
the PR process by the time your get the PPR, don't mess it up.

I have to leave canada for couple months on emergency grounds so i will definately

BUt they will probably say, they will answer you once you will be in that situation, as in you are out of canada, and you got a PPR and you have travel plans
that interfere with the passport submission.
Also, once you receive PPR you have 60 days to submit your passport.

I have just received our passports back with visas stamped and COPR from Canadian embassy in abu dhabi.At my request cpp-o allowed me to get it stamped in abu dhabi as we were having problems sending passport from Oman to Ottawa

its been 6 months since I did medicals. Still waiting for the PPR and RPRF requests. CIC says no other docs required at this time and file is following its due course. Any one else in similar situation from Aug 2012?
