Definitely call CIC.....approval was probably sent via snail mail and has been lost especially if you received AOR by email ok. Have you logged onto to ecas to see what your status is.....it will probably say "decision made" and tell you when the letter was sent.vkkomputers said:

But havent receive any mail from them even email. I phoned CIC last friday and said I was approved to sponsor my hubby and they already forwarded to local office (Manila).
I dont even have an AOR - weird

i got AOR email on 22 oct and approval email on 25 oct..but on cic website it still says application recived it does not say decision made is it normal ?

My status on Ecas is just being shown as 'Your documents were received on 15th August, 2012' thats it....nothing else....i think i should try calling the customer care to cross check the status....

yes AOR is just that we recived ur application and after AOR my ecase shows applicant's home address and application recived and medical recived.. and after 3 days we got email which mention that ur case is approved but no update on websitemarkym said:

Usually after a bit of time it will update to say "medicals have been received." Mine didn't update to this until the day I got sponsor approval, which was 10 days after I received the AOR. The only reason I'm saying this is because I have a friend who is now 6 months into process and they're ready to finalize the application, however, the Ecas never said medicals received. Thinking that this is normal because ecas is unreliable, she never said anything, and now found out that her vo either lost or never received the medicals. She had to go through this big hassle of contacting the vo, contacting Ottawa where the medicals are processed, and contacting where her partner did the medical exam.... thankfully it got sorted out, however, I guess it could have been even more of a run around!
If after you receive sponsor approval (if u haven't already), then wait a couple weeks for ecas to update... if it still hasn't updated then there's no harm in calling the call centre to see if they have the medicals, or sending an email to your vo with the email they gave u in the sponsor approval letter...

vkkomputers.....definitely phone CIC tomorrow morning and find out what is going on........being received on the 15th of August is basically your aor.....so find out why you have not received approval......good luck and I wait to hear how you make out......if you can try calling right at 8am in the morning.......vkkomputers said:

Good idea to call. Since u received the AOR I bet your sponsor approval got lost in the mail or something. When u call as well, ask about the meds as it doesn't say Medical received yet. Hopefully u get good news tomorrow morning!vkkomputers said:
