Al hamdoulilah a desicion is made in regards to my husband's papers n Paris VO asked for a copy of his passport along with other stuff. hopefully good news will follow to the rest of Augustees .

Here is breakdown of events:

August 22, 2012 - Confirmation of Application of Sponsorship (e-mail)
October 5, 2012 - Eligible to Sponsor (mail / letter) also included in the letter - - - > the Application has been forwarded to a visa office abroad for further processing.

and that's it. No other updates up until now. I'm becoming really anxious because there's no e-mail or mail from the Embassy of Canada in the Philippines. I don't know what to do. I'm very worried if there is something wrong about our application.

We wanted to schedule and appointment with the office but we dont know how. I'm becoming more and more anxious after reading that a lot has already been receiving their approval and requests while we don't even have an update.

Also, I can't even see our application in E-CAS. I called the call centre and they told me that I should wait for my husband's UCI or APPLICATION # to be able to use E-CAS. Even though I have a UCI and APPLICATION # of my own I cant even login to E-CAS.

I'm so confused. I've had a long period of sleepless nights because I have been thinking about this.

If you have checked the spreadsheet for Manila VO (it's under my ticker), people getting PPR as of the moment are those who got their SAs in August. So, I would say you are still on track. Maybe next month or couple of months, you will get your PPR too, as you mentioned, you got your SA on October.


Also, it is not a good idea to compare your timeline with your batchmates in August 2012 date of application as we all have different processing times depending on the VO. It is better to compare with the people with the same VO as yours

If you check out the August Spreadsheet I have added a second tab and grouped everyone by VO, something I have been trying out but have also kept the orginal because people get used to seeing their username in a certain place..

If you check out the August Spreadsheet I have added a second tab and grouped everyone by VO, something I have been trying out but have also kept the orginal because people get used to seeing their username in a certain place..

When our application was first received and sponsorship was approved about a week later I could log in using my husbands (sponsor) UCI and his details (date of birth etc) Then a little later I was able to log in with Application f# with my details (applicant). I am assuming you have tried both?

Have you made a case specific enquiry? If not follow this link https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/cicemail/intro-eng.aspx?mission=manila at the bottom of the paragraph you will see a continue button click that then follow the other instructions, this should take you to the webform which you can submit a question asking them confirm if they have received your application and if they can provide a status update.

Just to make you feel a little better, I can access Ecas and it hasn't changed since the first week I was able to access it and that was 7 months ago...lol I'm sure it will be ok...x

My birthday was yesterday, but I got my present today...my husband's COPR!! 8) ;D It arrived in the mail.

I am simply delighted. Just over 6 months since they received our application - that is pretty slick. I am officially impressed with CPP-O. They must be doing something right!

Hello friends!

Im here to update my status too. I got my CPR last week! They sent it to my parents in Brazil, and my parents mailed it to me here in Canada.

But now one question. I live near Toronto, the only way to go on with the process would be going to Niagara, crossing to USA, and just do a U-Turn to enter Canada again? Or can I go to Toronto Airport and find a office/immigration session there?

You can't just go to the airport. If you want to 'land' at an office in Canada you need to call and make an appointment, I believe toronto is approximately 2 months waiting times for an appointment as it is one of the busiest. Your option would be to drive to the border and do a u-turn as they say, but from some peoples stories the US Border staff don't like this much, so you are better going for the day and have a plan of where you are going as a tourist.
