You mean we need call CIC for LOA once PNP approved right?

What exactly you asked to CIC so i can do the same question?
what?
I'm sorry, do you have province nomination???

Individuals who meet all of the following requirements will receive priority processing of both their PNP application, and if nominated, permanent residence application:

Meet the criteria for at least one of the federal economic immigration programs subject to CIC’s Express Entry system,
Obtain a CIC Express Entry Profile Number and Job Seeker Validation Code and indicate their interest in immigrating to B.C., and
Meet the criteria under one of the PNP’s Express Entry British Columbia categories.

but still, I'm not sure, is this only for people who are still in process of obtaining nomination, or does it apply for those who already obtained nomination??
If you currently have an application with the PNP under the Skilled Worker (including Health Care Professional), International Graduate, or International Post-Graduate categories, you may be eligible for the Express Entry British Columbia stream if you meet all of the requirements. For more information, please visit this page.

I am not sure, I read it as this is only for new applications (or if you have an application that is currently being processed) but I might be wrong.

Folks, CIC has always said that only SOME PNP applications will be processed under express entry. A majority of PNP applications will be processed through separate provincial programs in traditional manner. Which nominations qualify for express entry most likely depends on whether the province allows for it.

yes, but that's because some PNP nominees don't fall under 3 categories for EE. I know some nominees that are unskilled and outside of Canada, obtained their nomination through special PNP streams.. so it's obvious they would be illegible for PR IF EE would be the only option for PNP.
further more, till now there was NO explanation, nor from CIC nor from majority of provinces (some people say sinp had statement on their site only new nominants will be eligible for EE) that nominees who already obtain nomination and fall under one of 3 EE categories won't be rewarded with 600 points!! no one knew that!! nominees were actually encouraged on EE seminars to (re)apply through EE!!

so, from my POV, it's totally unfair!!

I totally agree with you ...

Express Entry candidates may either:

enter the pool first, and then be nominated by a province or territory; or
be nominated by a province or territory, and then complete an online Express Entry profile.
Note: All prospective candidates (whether PNP applicants or not) must meet the criteria of at least one of the federal immigration programs managed through Express Entry in order to enter the pool, and must submit their application online.

It was very clear..i do not know how are these things written... totally unjustified...

absolutely...
all this confusion and frustration could have been avoided IF they said from the start that ONLY NEW nominees can apply for EE.
but no one said that.
as we can see, even CIC agents agree with us.

Ok guys,

With all respect to your situation, there are a lot of unfairness in this program for different categories of applicants. I, for example, think that it's totally unfair to treat PGWP the same as others as we invested a lot of time and money into Canada. IMHO, it is unfair to give 600 points to someone who never was in Canada but got PNP or LMIA and now can bring the whole family and get all benefits. Let's be strong and work hard and we will all get what we deserve.

Thank you

Hello All PNP holder

I have seen that many provinces like mine in Ontario are saying that people who have nomination will not be eligible for the 600 points.

I called CIC and had a long discussion with the agent (She seemed knowledgeable and also consulted her senior colleague). According to her as long as your have the PNP letter you are eligible for 600 points. She said to me that she will sent me a email where there is a link and I should explain the details and also attach the e-mail i got from my PNP authority which i did (I believe that email i got from the agent can not be shared). I was also told that they will bring this in attention of authority as they are currently working in resolving the existing issue with EE.

I will urge as many people as possible to call CIC and ask them about this so that we can come to a clear resolution. Looks like we are just tied between Province and federal government

Note: Its so difficult to make oneself understand. The main reason a province give u PNP is to get the PR which we can get in a shorter duration via EE. It does not make sense why province wont confirm to EE.

Same here..i tried to call CIC and find it hard to reach an agent...always automated voice msg...it seems doesn't work when i press 0....Could you advise the option number so that i can reach the agent? appreciated..

I'm an OPNP nominee thinking of creating an EE profile.... is it not working right now? I want to do it before my nomination expires (next week!!!). Any way? Also do you know if they cancel your pre-EE appllications if you create an EE profile and get selected?

Hello ALL PNP APPLICANTS....

Please see below link.....which says...

Applying through the regular application process – if you were nominated under a regular PNP stream, you should apply using the regular application process.

so, if I got it right, BC PNP encourages people who already obtained nomination to send them their form they got from EE, and they'll confirm their nomination?? so, why the hell other provinces won't do that?!

Yes especially ONTARIO PNP! Not only did all us legitimate candidates had our applications delayed and suffered through a lengthy QA process because internally they F-ed up and accepted fraudulent applications and failed an audit by the federal government, now they are REFUSING to validate with EE that we have OPNP.
