YAAAAAY!! :D

I'm so happy for you guys!!

Hi everyone. In my account they say that my application is in process and that no bio and no medical is needed. Is that normal? Should I expect my PR soon? Aor is 28.Jan.

My AOR was 28th Jan too, and I got medical request the same time I got the AOR, which I did two days later and it changed to passed on Feb 3rd. Have you not had a medical request at all, or ave you submitted it, passed it, and now its changed to NA? Have you had a pre-arrival letter yet?

guys....did anyone read anything about being unemployed before applying for PR.. whether it affects their decision to grant it ? i am talking about being unemployed for 3-5 months max .

I think providing you meet the necessary work experience hours, you shouldn't need to be too worried. I have gaps in my employment too, including an 17 month gap before starting with my designated employer as I was travelling then. I haven't received PPR yet so I am not an authority, but my consultant said that it was okay and I would still be eligible.

Quick Q for anyone who has applied for a work permit inland:

My work permit application was received on December 27th, submitted to GCkey January 2nd. It's not been touched since. I logged in today to see 'application/profile updated' (ugh, finally) although no actual updates when I go in to the application itself. I'm calling this a ghost update as I've had several on my PR application too. Has anyone else had this happen to them? This didn't happen to me last time I applied for a work permit, I just want to know that it's an okay thing to happen and what to expect next! (although that was a few years ago now, I applied for an IEC online and it was approved within hours of me submitting it).

I did call CIC but they said they have only that information which I can see in my account. Can you please advice me the extensions that I should use. I use to check using cic number but it still says we are checking your background check.

It’s definitely a very good thing to happen, it means an officer is working on your case. Good news is coming your way.

You might be better to try getting the info via a CSE. But you must ask them specific questions ie

Visa office ?
Medical ? If you don’t already know results
Eligibility?
Criminality ?
Security ?

It is pot luck on the agent that replies but I and many others got a good response this way.

Thank you @TheNorms for the information.
I tried to do but they need representative number which I don’t have and I believe my representative won’t give me.
