Asivad and seniors,

Requesting your comments on the news. Do you think score will go around/below 400 with 2000-2500 ITAs per draw as the CIC official mentioned?

Thanks!

Thanks!

There is a large amount of people in the 440-480 band. I dont think score will ever drop below 440.

Assuming they eventually switch the entire economic immigration system over to EE with 100,000+ people chosen per year, that would result in 10,000+ people chosen each month.

At that point, I think you could make a case for 400+ becoming the long-term bottom for EE draws but from the look of things, we are still quite a long way from that.

Until then, 450 just might remain the bottom, just like it has been so far.

very useful info.
put my mind to rest!
thanks for posting!

This is great news indeed.

During Newcomers Canada Fair in Edmonton CIC officials announced that in next couples of month the draws will be smaller in numbers and higher in score, but starting from September or later the round will count around 2000+ ITA's with the score likely to decrease.

You can find video on YouTube using words _Seminar "Express Entry: A new way of attracting Skilled Immigrants"_ published by A Portuguese in Canada.

Watch video from minutes 16:00 "Starting from Sep/Oct, there will be larger draws, 2000-2500 per draw"

Wow! this is big news! scores going below 400, fingers crossed :)

Hey I am new to this forum as a member. I have been reading the threads regarding express entry from a while. Everyone of you have been a great help :)

The video seems convincing. But we have been waiting from past year and half for something to happen.
My PGWP is expiring in early July 2016.

Thanks for sharing this video.

I also wanted to know if anyone has got a job offer through Job Bank. I have been looking at the job bank for any potential job opening for NOC 1112 (Investment Analyst) but there no suitable jobs under this NOC, hence was curious to know if anyone has got a job offer through job bank.

Appreciate any information on job bank.

From what I heard, the chances are very very slim...Employers, after all, would want their candidates to have PR visa AND solid Canadian work experience.

So it's very common for new immigrants to take on a job not related (and of the same level) as what they used to do. In your case (and we're from the same industry), I believe we need to take additional bridging courses to work on the occupation we intended.

Thanks for reply. About taking additional bridging courses, are you talking about Canadian courses?

Yes, but I suggest you do that when you have secured your PR and you're in Canada already.

lowest CRS score to receive ITA is 451, i would be amazed if it falls below 450 anytime within the next 2-3 years, let alone months.
The guy in the video is saying current ITA score is around 420, which is wrong... it never fell below 450, and that will be the case going forward.
OINP was offering interest letter to all applicants with score higher than 400, till they stopped earlier this year. When they restart, I doubt it will be 400 - Definitely will be around 430 or higher... (This is speculation based on my understanding)
