During Newcomers Canada Fair in Edmonton CIC officials announced that in next couples of month the draws will be smaller in numbers and higher in score, but starting from September or later the round will count around 2000+ ITA's with the score likely to decrease.

Great news ! if it's true. I really want to believe this time, not like the news they kept saying last year " An analyst from CIC said that they've cleared all the backlog and draw score will come done in early 2016", then BAM ! new immigration plan, quota got 20k+ cut.

CIC is going to complete old applications(before express entry) by Sept, 2016 and then on CIC will be using ONLY express entry for Economic Immigration.

By Sept/ Oct, wouldn't the people entering the pool be increasing largely as the draws till then would be smaller. I highly doubt if the number of invitations per draw would be as high as 2000-2500
