No evidence of a pause just a huge backlog in India.
As per IRCC the processing times starts after they have received all there documents including Biometrics so we should count the time from there not from the date application submitted, usually they processed files within the given time and if they don’t we can ask them. However this wait is terrible and they do not update .

Even if counted from biometrics processing time often exceeds posted time. Getting a visitor visa is a privilege and there is really not much to update so people will need to be patient. Many people abused the TRV system and still abuse it so processing times have gotten longer and refusals have increased.

It is a a TRV that can result in an up to 5-7 year visit (insane in itself) so processing time of a few months for what is likely not an urgent visit is somewhat understandable. Many parents (and other visitors) have not returned home and/or filed H&C/asylum applications attempting to remain in Canada so IRCC is now vetting applications more carefully for visitors in general.

I do understand
But they had visit visa from 2019 to March 2025
Only visited once and that too for 40 days
I mean previous visit history should have some effect on the file
I’m citizen
NOA attached as well but there should be some movement
It seems no one has even touched the file for 3.5 months as of now , that’s bit disappointing

If the application has passed the normal processing time then you should send a web form request for an update
