I am CEC inland applicant, my AOR is April 16th. My file is taking too long, could you guys share your expert opinion.

STATUS so far:

PO: Sydney
SO: Ottawa
Eligibility: NOT STARTED
Background: (As per GCMS)
--> criminality Passed
--> info sharing completed
--> security not started
Background: turned to "NOT APPLICABLE" in GC Key and in progress in Tracker.

GCMS notes:
18th May.
Program assistant set following documents for review.
Client information
Client Enquiry
Education (affidavit) - I provided an affidavit of same name, since, one character is missing in name on degrees. My actual spells on passport is "Siddique" in degrees it is written as "Sidique" only 'd' is missed out.



There is a long silence, no movement ever since 6th June. Could you guys shed some light.

Hi Guys, my Biometrics, medical and eligibility are all completed on the tracker, however background verification is still in progress.
I have checked my GCKey account and on the background check I can see the following message: "Your application is in progress. we will send you a message when we start your background check." which feels like a step backwards as the message used to be "We are processing your background check , we will send you a message if we need more information"
Can someone please help me on understanding what happened?

Trust your PR tracker for anything related to Background check or Eligibility. GCKey won't be updated as fast as tracker will.

Mine is a similar timeline as yours, a few of us with similar AOR have been basketed by CIO Sydney and they have decided to keep us till the 9-month PNP timeline.
