i got my tracket status as DM in August. However my Oath is scheduled for Feb 2022.. So anything is possible...

Hi All, I filed a family citizenship application in April 2019 and we have been waiting since then with no updates at all. My application is at the Scarborough office and at this point I'm wondering whether to consider filing a 'Mandamus of Writ' through Campbell Cohen's office. Any suggestions from anyone if I should go ahead with the Writ or just keep waiting. In 4 months, it will be 3 years since I'm waiting for my citizenship.

Last thing I did was email to the Scarborough office with the all the details and asked the reason for the delay. In a week I started seeing updates on my tracker for the sections and waiting started again.
After 6 months I emailed them again saying no update even after completing all checks. A week after I received a response saying

Good Day,

Thank you for your email. Please be advised we have an inventory of ceremony ready files and all ceremonies have been scheduled up until April 31, 2022. You will receive the Notice to Appear by email 1 week prior to the event.


After 10 days I got another email with the oath ceremony date.
So what I learned from this is.. we need to check and followup no matter how many days we do.

Congrats on receiving your Oath. I'm an April 2019 applicant and my file is in Scarborough, Ontario. Don't know when things will move forward, very frustrating experience.

Finally done with my Oath yesterday. It's been long long wait to get this done.
Now another wait to get the certificate.

For those who have done their oath - Do you only find out the time of the ceremony once you get your email or am I missing it somewhere?
