I was invited on September 17 to take the test after September 24. I wrote the test on September 25. Waiting for the update to show on the new tracker.
Where did you find the link, different office for me, but interested in doing same thing. After a couple of online complaint forms to IRCC and a handwritten letter to the Vancouver office asking how their oath "queue" actually works my wife is finally invited to take the oath on October 8th. We had contacted a lawyer to start the mandamus process but will not need to continue with that at this point.
If you have not done so already, I would order GCMS notes from IRCC, CBSA and CSIS. Your notes from CSIS will roughly show at what stage your background check with them is.Hello all,
I received my fingerprint request in Oct 2019 and nothing since then. I have communicated with CIC numerous times via phone and webforms. Every time they tell me everything seems to be in order and I need to keep waiting.
While I understand for special cases (FP req) it may take longer time and the pandemic is definitely not helping, the long wait time is becoming an issue now since my PR card expired as well. I have sent an application for a renewal months ago and no reply from them yet (no acknowledgement or anything). When I try to check my PR renewal application status, even though I choose PR renewal but it directly takes me for my citizenship application status!
Last I spoke to CIC they told me my citizenship application is at the background check status and since a 3rd party organization does it, it can take from 7 days to even 1 year and they cannot check the status of it.
Would anybody know if there is any way I can expedite the process? I don't have any emergency that I can request for (or I can think of).
Regards and congrats to all who had already received their citizenship
I have received the GCMS note and strangely no info on background check. There is a section which has been cleared out in the document, I wonder if that was the background section. If you have not done so already, I would order GCMS notes from IRCC, CBSA and CSIS. get your notes from CBSA; compared to IRCC notes, CBSA notes are the same as IRCC but much less redacted. I would also get notes from CSIS.I have received the GCMS note and strangely no info on background check. Do they take any way to verify that you are in Canada?Yup, I can confirm this as well. I was asked if I was physically present in Canada.
