Hi guys

I have sent my application on April 25th and it was received on 30th April by CIC Mississauga. So far its too early to expect anything but can we link online if we had previous account on CIC like i did my Express Entry online and got approved last year as Single status.Since I got my PR through express entry and now i applied under Family class and subcategory Spouse as paper application that is quite obvious we all did.
My question is Can I use my old CIC account to link the application. My Status has changed now and Iam wondering will it work or not.Well my account is still active.I tried linking but was unable to link as its too early !! So far did anyone tried linking??

Thanks

Unable to link my app to my account, after receiving AOR1??
Any assistance, would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you go through the steps carefully, whatever you put on your application should match up with the questions they ask on line/information. Also don't forget to include yourself when they ask you how much people on the application. Hope this helps you.

You still have to wait for the application to be processed by CPC-M before you can link anything. When CPC-M receives a file in the mail room, it gets opened, assigned a temporary file number and put aside for review. Because applications are dealt with in order, and there's a backlog, your file will sit on the pile awaiting review until an officer has cleared their workload of files that has come in before yours.

When it's your file's turn, it is picked up and checked by an officer for completeness. If it is incomplete it is sent back and a note is made against the temporary file number and the payment receipt number. If it is complete, then it gets assigned a permanent file number and only after this stage can you link it to your GCKey/MyCIC account. It's after this review that you'll receive the AOR1.

Sometimes there's a short time between when the file is assessed as complete and assigned a file number and when the AOR1 actually gets sent out, and people have been able to link their files this way before receiving the AOR1, but usually the AOR1 comes very soon thereafter. At this stage, you'll know an officer is dealing with your file and you should expect to start hearing more from IRCC for a short period as things like sponsor approval, medical requests, and file transfers are dealt with.

Anyone can create a MyCIC/GCKey account and try linking prior to AOR1, but it usually won't work until you receive the AOR.

Yes to check message on my online account.
Did you link your application?
No, I was not able to.
I used the info from our app and still not able to..

Keep trying each day until you link it, I think your allowed 5 try per a day. Try linking the app with passport information without your file number.

Hello guys.
Received AOR 1 today. Application sent on 29th March and IRCC received on April 4th. Started processing on April 4th.

Linked application successfully to PA's account as well. Waiting for any message to pop up for Medical in account now.
