You should order GCMS Notes and meanwhile call IRCC and find your VO, after finding you VO email them asking the status of your application's progress as you have crossed 6 months.

Ain’t that background check starting a poisitive news since there has been no updates till this? I mean is it compulsory for me to make a contact to cic by either ordering gcms or calling? I’m actually thinking to give it a week or two more.
In the same boar for 200+ days now. Review required in Cast Analyst recommendation. Is there any way to have them take my application back to their attention? I have been trying to call them 2-3 times a day for past month and no luck yet. Is there any other way?
Any idea on how long does this slump last, if your application has Review Required from Cast Analyst? I mean most go beyond 6 months. Any idea how much longer after 6 months?
That is not encouraging at all. Just can't get my head around how the processing time vary from 2 months to 10 months just like that. Oh Canada, why you have to be such a hard ass? Thanks for taking a look at it though.

But honestly i dont want to bother my case officer by either ordering up notes or calling them since ive seen 2-3 people sharing there case files were withheld after ordering notes and when they received it every call they made was listed in it. I appreciate your advise and will refer to it.
one last question is it not a good sign that status changed to ip2? since according to current trend people which get ip2 after 6 months receive their ppr in a week or two after.

Yes every call is listed in GCMS notes but it doesn't bother the visa officer working on your case. The visa officers do not answer phone calls. There are call center agents who do that. Also, your fear of GCMS notes leading to withholding of your file are unfounded. But, if you believe in it so be it. I think the advise offered is the correct one. If you really want to know what is happening GCMS notes are the way to go. And, in case you want to wait it out for 2-3 more weeks even that is okay. In my opinion, both views are wrong. GCMS notes neither delay or speed up your file. And this is the official view shared by IRCC on their tweeter account. But, in the end it is your file and hence your decision.
What other numbers can I call IRCC on apart from the number in your signature for people calling from outside Canada? Their call agents are always busy. I have tried endlessly.

I need to know the office processing the application before filling the web form and I can only get that by calling them.
Those are the only numbers. Best time to call as per some members is 8 am their time
