I am praying everyday but on average LVO hasnt done any DM in this month...if you notice there progress with
That is not true. 11 DMs for Pakistani applicants alone this month and that is just as per the spreadsheet. I'm sure other countries have had DMs also. CIC's priority in general for now is wrapping up all of 2016 applicants. Our file is also at London VO. From May 31st till Oct 13 it was in put away location. No additional docs requested either. It was taken from put away to Case Analysts location on Oct 13. We have ordered GCMS notes and they should arrive by Nov 23-25. We are hoping that eligibility will have been concluded by then. If you want more information on your file, it's best to order notes and frequently. on average every 1.5 - 2 months apart. All the best.

Hubby and I will be sending out his passport, photos, annex page, prepaid envelope some time this week to the designated office. How long typically does it take them to send it back? Will his PR card be in the mail as well? Once he has everything he needs to come here, will he need to within a certain amount of time. Thank you

First you get confirmation of pr document that you present at border or office in Canada. It maybe take a week or more to get coPR once your documents arrive at the visa office, i.e., passport or photocopies, photos etc. the PR card actually takes months to eventually arrive at the address you give when you land as a PR.

Okay, thank you.

I see once I send it off it's typically within 2-3 weeks that I receive everything back? Then he can come and land? Is this correct. (I would assume he'll need his passport back to come)

So if the PR card takes months to come, does he have to wait to work? How quickly after landing can he work.

Thank you

It can take anywhere from 1-4 weeks it seems, but Ottawa for family has been historically quick. Once he lands as a PR he IS a PR, so he has all the rights. The card will take more like 3 months but he does not need it, coPR and passport grant him the same rights. He can start working the same day he gets his SIN.

Oh okay. I just got so worried. So once he lands, we just need to go to a service Ontario office and get him his SIN card with the paperwork he was given at the border and by immigration office?

Perfect. Thank you :) I just want him home before Christmas, or at least to be able take a trip for Christmas. If he lands Dec 15 can he go back to the states to work for another month, even though he became landed, then return in January?

Yes, it's perfectly normal to wrap up stuff once you get your PR. I don't have personal experience but I don't think a CBSA officer would question him about his time abroad when coming back, maybe only as a casual conversation. A month is nothing to close up shop in a country ;) At the end of the day, he has fulfilled CIC's requirement of proof of intent of coming to Canada and legally he only needs to fulfill the minimum amount of time within 5 years.

DM for my husband today :) April 21 2017 applicant
