While linking application is the application number same as unique file number indicated at the top right of the PDF which principal applicant receives an email !?

Yes, it would say Application Number:FXXXXXXXXX

I applied for my wife`s residency on 20 april 2017 and by god`s grace i received applcation number on 24 may 2017 and today on 29 may i received background schedula A request form request but even after linking my application to my canadian account I am not able to see the request for background form in my online account so am I supposed to send the schedule A form my home country india to cpc missisauga or there is a way to upload it online. i thought there will be way to upload online but i am not seeing any option to upload it no single new message in my online account. what can be done guys?? is it normal please do respond

Are you the sponsor or the principal applicant? And if you are the sponsor, are you also the representative for your wife's application?

Give those a try.

1. Log in with GC Key account
2. Permanent Residence - Family Class (Spouses)
2. Application Number and Family Name - Copy/paste application number from email (including the F) and enter PA's last name
3. City of Birth - enter 1 space (hit spacebar once)
4. Country of Birth - Select PA's country of birth
5. Passport Info - Do not enter any passport info
6. Other Application Info - Fill out the other application info as per your application and put '2' as the number of members in the application for sponsor + spouse (add +1 per dependents)

OR...

1. Log in with GCKey account
2. Permanent Residence - Family Class (Spouses)
3. Application Number and Unique Client Identifier (UCI) - Insert application number and UCI from email
4. City of Birth - Insert PA's City of Birth
5. Country of Birth - Select PA's Country of birth
6. Passport Info - Insert Passport number, issuance and expiration info
7. Other Application Info - Fill out the other application info as per your application (Province, City and marital status) and put '2' as the number of members in the application for sponsor + spouse (add +1 per dependent, if any)
8. Click on the 'Search for my application' tab

So I already submitted upfront police clearance so now just wait for schedule a request and submit it right !?

Have you received the sponsor approval email already? Also, what does it says under your spouse's ECAS status?

NO I haven't received sponsor email approval !? should i have received it before getting aor , I just got my aor today.

In Eva's status it shows sponsorship application status: in process and if I click that it says 2 line received date and started processing application date under sponsor tab

And under principal applicant tab it showed appplication received

I see. So okay your a way's away. Seems like they have not sent the request for additional documents email yet. Stay out and await for your next email. Be patient, it'll come. If not, then after a while you can call the call centre to inquire.
