I also received approval to be a sponsor on Thursday the 11th (email came through Friday morning).

Do we have to check mark in
Form IMM 5533E -> Section - "Supporting Documents of Principal Applicant "
-> Point No.4: "Police Certificate and Clearances and Background Screening Requirements" And Point No.6: "Medical Examination"
if we are not sending them with this application...??
Or do we have to check mark to let them know that we have read these requirements...??

Sorry to ask this question again, but when i was reading the forum looks like some people reveived AOR but it looks different than mine. Did any1 receive same email which i got? I am the sponsor btw & my wife(principal applicant) hasn't reveived anyhing yet. I can't also link my application may be because i just got AOR thats why

I just recieved this, I am the sponsor, is it SA OR AOR? Any suggestion would be appreciated.

If you are not submititng then don't check it. I didn't check it either because didn't submit sch A or police clearance

This is an email what sponsor receives - an actual AOR. Then there will be another email for principal applicant...and in this email PA will be invited to link the application to the mycic account. At least that how was in our case.

In our case first email was received by me (PA), and then next day the AOR was received by my hubby (sponsor). So for us to receive first notice since the submission of application took almost a month.

Congrats buddy !! How long was did it take for your wife's medical results to be updated on CIC?

she had the meds done last friday may 5....ECAS and GCKEY were updated late friday May 12

You're welcome.

Once the PA receives the AOR email you could try the following:

1. Log in with GCKey account
2. Permanent Residence - Family Class (Spouses)
3. Application Number and Unique Client Identifier (UCI) - Insert application number and UCI from email
4. City of Birth - Insert PA's City of Birth
5. Country of Birth - Select PA's Country of birth
6. Passport Info - Insert Passport number, issuance and expiration info
7. Other Application Info - Fill out the other application info as per your application (Province, City and marital status) and put '2' as the number of members in the application for sponsor + spouse (add +1 per dependent, if any)
8. Click on the 'Search for my application' tab
9. Then on 'Link my application' tab

Try this combination :

Application # : xxxxxxxxxx
family name : PRINCIPAL APPLICANT LAST NAME (all caps)

Do not put anything in Passport field

Just a space in city of birth
Country : where she was born

Province : same as what you put in application
City : same as what you put in application
Marital status : married
# of family members : if no childfren, put 2 (that will be sponsor and principal applicant)


If this doesnt work. Change your selection to UCI and Family name

Yeah, it's really iffy. I've managed to link (by some kind of miracle).

Try # of family members starting from 2, then 3, then 4 (if you have up to 2 kids).

So i received am emial asking for PCC and background declaration form which can submitted using one of the following options by CIC :
1. submit using online account
2. submit using IRCC web form
3. mail to CIC missisauga
