Hi ,

Any can help me with the Medical Upfront.

As i am Canada PR since July 2015 but due to some personal commitments not able to go there again.

I received my PR Card and planning to go with all my Bag Packs by May,2017.

Now, i need to sponser my Wife and Child which is only possible once i reached there and has a job.

So, is it not possible to do the Medical Upfront for my wife and child now before i am leaving.

I asked the same from eMedical Panel and they told that there is process change from Nov,2016

"A new application process for the spousal sponsorship program came into effect on December 15, 2016. Spouses, partners or dependent children do not need upfront medical exams. Wait for our instructions before going for your medical exam."

Please confirm that first i should reach Canada and then Get a Job and post appaying for her only Medical Will be done. Also, during the application process after receiving the
(UMI#)this shall be done. My wife also had UCI# as she was non accompanying member in my application.

They changed the process and medicals can no longer be done up front. A panel physician will not see the applicants until an official request is sent to them by CIC.
At the time CIC requests medical they give you the info you need to be able to schedule the appt.

You can't do medical exams upfront anymore. Also, you need to have PR for 5 years before you can sponsor anyone, so if you got PR in 2015, you can't sponsor anyone until 2020.

Quick question on the Schedule A background form I'm filling out in anticipation of the request from CIC. For the question:

Have you ever been refused admission to, or ordered to leave Canada or any other country?

we have been denied a TRV for my wife to visit Canada before submitting the sponsorship application, do I answer yes to this question? or is this questions asking if we have been denied admission by CBSA at the airport/border?

Hi vpjp,
I have one doubt here, from where you got this information that someone needs to have PR for 5 years before sponsoring anyone??
Just curious because I didn't see this point under eligibility criteria.

Thanks

Salamat po!!

make sure to download it to your computer and open it in adobe acrobat (the stand alone adobe acrobat) as the forms do not work when opened in your web browsers PDF viewer/reader
