Hello everyone,

My wife's application is in Warsaw. On October 25 she got a request for an Afghanistan police clearance where she has been living for 8 months and she need to give this to Warsaw within 30 days. The next day she received PPR email with 60 days to send her passport.

She has been trying to get her Afghanistan police clearance for the past week but it is incredibly difficult for someone who is not a local. She works for the United Nations, so she has some support for UN staff. But they have been making her run around for all kinds of documentation. Anyway, it doesn't look like this will be done by Nov 25th. Moreover, she will not get the original. They will forward the original to their ministry of foreign affairs as she is not an afghan. The ministry of foreign affairs will then send it to the Canadian embassy and it will be sent to her registered address in Canada. So I will then receive it here and post it to Warsaw.

There is some confusion here. Do we write to the VO saying police clearance will take more time? Moreover, should we get a clarification on why they sent her a PPR email when they asked for a police clearance one day before? Do they still need her police clearance or did they waive it as she is a UN employee?

Thanks in advance.
I would have treated it astwo separate requests. I know you say you need the passport for the police check but I would have sent it in for the ppr. Then sent a separate response about what you are doing to get an Afghan pc which they are probably used to hearing. My guess is they would have gone ahead with out the pc

Yes, I suppose that would be better. I'll tell them about how the process is progressing and ask them how the deadline can be extended. I hope they have waived it. My wife is in bad shape running around for this police clearance. The Afghan officials just brush off a woman and refuse to even to talk to her. She totally has to rely on the UN security staff that accompanies her.

I had a question. Do you know if the COPR is sent through Ottawa or is it through our Visa Offices?
No Passport was requested.

Thank you,

What happened to the spreadsheet? I would like to update our stats for everyone but it's locked for editing

Hi April Applicants,

To those who are still waiting for PPR, any further updates so far? I feel like kinda impatient here, though I have a feeling that we'll hear from them by the end of this month. Fortunate if we hear earlier than that! (fingers crossed) :P

Anyway, let's just keep our hopes up so high because we're almost there!

A thought I just had to share:

I'm getting so impatient as well! I had hope that my husband would be back for my birthday, which is in 7 days from today, but I don't think this will be happening anymore. This whole waiting game has to end now, my husband and I are emotionally exhausted.

I thought that the fastest VO is Ottawa? your app should take like roughly 2-3 months to finalize everything. Where is your husband from? USA?

same here :( this is already causing me depression. aside from that, it's hard to plan and make big decisions because almost everything now has something to do with the arrival in Canada :(

Yes United States. I've seen an application processed in 5 months by a fellow applicant, but I haven't seen faster than that really..

Hello guys, I would like to know if anyone of you here know any contact information at WARSAW VO. they emailed me that there are some missing documents for my wifes PR application and I would like to send it to them but they did not give me any instructions to where to send it. She was requested her non translated police clearance from Lithuania and also some more proof of relationship. They emailed us through this email warsaw-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca. do I just email them my missing documents or do I have to do physical mail to Warsaw? Please, I need help. I emailed them back to ask where to send it but have not received any reply from them.
