I would have treated it astwo separate requests. I know you say you need the passport for the police check but I would have sent it in for the ppr. Then sent a separate response about what you are doing to get an Afghan pc which they are probably used to hearing. My guess is they would have gone ahead with out the pcski said:Hello everyone,
My wife's application is in Warsaw. On October 25 she got a request for an Afghanistan police clearance where she has been living for 8 months and she need to give this to Warsaw within 30 days. The next day she received PPR email with 60 days to send her passport.
She has been trying to get her Afghanistan police clearance for the past week but it is incredibly difficult for someone who is not a local. She works for the United Nations, so she has some support for UN staff. But they have been making her run around for all kinds of documentation. Anyway, it doesn't look like this will be done by Nov 25th. Moreover, she will not get the original. They will forward the original to their ministry of foreign affairs as she is not an afghan. The ministry of foreign affairs will then send it to the Canadian embassy and it will be sent to her registered address in Canada. So I will then receive it here and post it to Warsaw.
There is some confusion here. Do we write to the VO saying police clearance will take more time? Moreover, should we get a clarification on why they sent her a PPR email when they asked for a police clearance one day before? Do they still need her police clearance or did they waive it as she is a UN employee?
Thanks in advance.
