Hi Winteravenue,

You sound so much like me. I had been wanting to get my teeth polished by can't decide. On that same note, my medical is valid till the the 30th of January, 2017. Is there a possibility that I will be in Canada by then or before the 30th of January. Or will i have to do another medical.

AARCEE
You do not have your timeline visible and it is hard to guess at the best of times. If cic wants they can extend the validity of the medical but it is hard to predict.

Argh, my husband and I are getting so impatient to be reunited again! We are staring at Ecas twice a day... but nothing has changed in a while, pr applicant side is still in process.

Can't wait to see some more april applicants getting good news. And hopefully one day it's gonna be our turn.

I had it printed on photopaper and have my notes written at the back of each. However, I also read some postings where fellow applicants just print it on legal papers and seems to work too. Honestly, it all comes down to the officer in charge of your case.

My wife's case was approved yesterday! We saw that from mycic account. However, ECAS still showed in process. I would like to know usually in how many days the VO should contact us?

For Manila applicants, In case anyone needs this for reference.

Your application can be in your own style, just make it organized, add details, not too many pictures not too few. Don't use pictures that look the same, choose different times/clothes/locations/events.
If it gives you an idea, I used Photoshop (instead of Microsoft Word) to easier organize my photos of my husband and I with different sizes in each page to fit them nicely. I wrote when the picture was taken and where. In some cases, I added a little description of what we were doing ^^
We used normal paper, color pictures. They said the paper can be any type you want! There was a topic somewhere of a person showing how they organized theirs, with pictures and everything. Try to look for that if you need more tips! I seem to have unbookmarked it. :(

My wife is not from China :P

However, CIC is really kind to Chinese applicants recently, and I've seen May, even June applicants got approved ahead of my wife. It just depends on how robustness your documents are.

Congrats! Did you also get an email when your MYCIC status is updated?

Ours was April 20 too. MVO sent our aor2 last June 22 which is very much close to yours but there were no recent changes in my "mycic" account. When did you notice the change of In Progress in your background check?

Pamtee,

I don't usually log in everyday. Yesterday morning, I logged in and saw that.
But it is only this morning I got an email from CIC letting me know my application has been updated.
Email was to me (sponsor)

Looking on the boards and manila timelines for everyone, I did not think it will be this soon.
I don't know why. Hope you get yours soon.

Hey, you never know..maybe ours is so soon because they see some issues with our application :)

Yes and before ECAS changed to Decision Made I also got another email from MyCIC.

Hey guys,

New to this form, and after reading a lot of your feedback and updates I've decided that this form could help me out in my situation.

I had applied for a spouse sponsorship back in April 2016. Now I just wanted to state that I had NOT submitted the medical examination with the application. It was stated on CiC that it was an option to submit the medical upfront or wait for further instructions from them to submit it.

My question is, I have received AOR 1 & AOR 2. Currently the status of my (applicant) is '' decision made'', however the PR status is still in '' Process''. I did not get any email or updates thus far, should I be worried? Will they request for a medical examination? It's already been 6 month and counting. Any advise would help.

Cheers.
