Linked my wife's application to my CIC account. It says Medicals passed, Eligibility "Review in progress". Rest "Not started".

My GCMS notes should be coming in 10 days. Hope there is more in that.

Hi :)
So the Sponsor can link the PA application to the MyCIC?
I thought as the sponsor, we could not....

Yes. I could. It took me three days. Tried all combinations.

Maybe I cannot because I have not received my SA yet... :(

Might be. In the drop down while linking apps there is a permanent residence option but no sponsorship approval. Keep trying anyway. Don't put passport details. Put the base minimum information that it asks for.

Thanks again, I will try after my SA :) AND I CANNOT WAIT FOR THAT lol if I disappear from this forum, is most likely because I had a heart attack.

WooHooo - just called CIC and discovered my COPR was mailed out, possibly already arrived (i'm traveling and having mail forwarded...). Because I'm visiting my wife in Vancouver right now I'd have to cross the border to pick up my mail in Blaine, WA... can I just go down there, pick up the document, and then cross the border with it? Are there other things I need to do, know etc..?

thanks!

yes, you can go pick it up and land as a pr on your way back. you need your passport and copr. if you have goods to declare at landing or goods you'll want to bring in at a later date, you will need to fill out the B184 form (previously b4 form). you would need 2 separate forms for stuff you bring in with you at landing and stuff considered "goods to follow". if you don't have anything to declare or everything is in canada already, then you don't need to deal with the declaration forms.

Just found my wife's "Background check" is now "in process" on mycic, and they requested a RCMP criminal record from our end (my wife's holding a working holiday visa and has been here for 10 months)

Is everyone going to have "background check"? I read from some posts that background checks might take several months and not all applicants are required?

Anyone with an Outland called the help center lately? I got a recorded message that said we have to use the Internet? I called 1 888 242 2100

The background check is performed by CSIS, and all applicants undergo this process.

It is the security and criminality checks.

two updates my end.

Firstly, my SA email finally came through confirming we got SA on May 20th. Took over 2 months for that bad boy to arrive.

Secondly, MyCIC has updated to say review of eligibility is now in progress. I now it's early days right now for a London applicant but still, good to see things moving along.

Still waiting on notes.

Congrats! HKVO here, so our wait should be comparable.

Gary_87 - mine says In Progress too. A good sign I suppose!

We're still on similar timelines it seems.

Did you register the sponsor on My CIC too?

no only registered me. the sponsor side is done and we got the SA so no real reason to register the sponsor also. Just got to get through the PA side now so just registered me.

Hopefully the eligibility thing goes quick and then its just the background check. my medical is already registered as passed.
