If you select "Sponsorship" you will recieve the files on the sponsor only.

You want to select "Permanent Residence" to obtain the files for the PR app.

Yes, your husband must give you consent. The link for the form is in the post above.

no, there is no need to worry. it's definitely going to take more than 3 weeks. i'm not sure why they would give such a short time frame. the "average" right now is 2-3 months. for a lot of people, it takes longer. Generally, the only reason the physical PR card is really needed is for traveling purposes for those who are not visa exempt. it is not needed to get your SIN# and most provincial services. for those things, the COPR and your passport are enough. However, in BC, apparently you will get temporary versions of your license/healthcard with the COPR and you will need to wait for your PR card to get your permanent ones.

Anyone got SA, recently? How much time does it take to get SA. On website it shows 56 days, but that's not the case. So if someone got it recently, please update. Thanks.

no, AOR2 is an actual letter sent by mail or email to the applicant. Not all visa offices send them, so it's not guaranteed you'll actually get one. more than likely you won't hear anything from CIC unless they are requesting documents or your passport request. if you are visa exempt, it's highly likely you won't hear anything at all and will receive your COPR in the mail without any prior notice.

Got it, tnx for the info! Hopefully, it will be expedited.

Hey guys,

so I've been able to create a My CiC gov account and when I log in and click the button that says "link an application to this account" in the drop down menu is "family class (spouse)" as an option. I enter all my details and it comes up with "no application found". Most likely the links are working but the actual set up hasn't gone live yet. Just keeping you posted on this new process that's meant to be happening at some point today. Maybe you guys can have a look and see if it works for you.

G

It is live.

I linked my app successfully 12 hours ago.

The most common problem people seem to be having is you must enter 2 for persons included in the app- PA and Sponsor- provided there isn't any dependants.

yeah I just tried that and now I've linked mine. All good. Mine says submitted on July 23rd even though I submitted it on April 22nd and they started processing the PA side on June 22nd. Weird.

It says that for all apps. It's because that is the day it was "submitted" online.

Hi Guys,

When i login to my CIC account and click continue it shows 'Internal server error'. Anyone having the same issue?

I tried logging in through different browsers, but same issue

does the sponsor(me) have to create or link mycic account. or the sponsored person(my wife) has to create hers and link the account

I cant link the file to my account.

In the applicant details should i enter my wifes info or my(sponsor) info. The account that i created belongs to me(sponsor)

Applicant information.

A common error:

You need to enter 2 persons included in the app (sponsor and PA) and add one for each dependant (if any)
