This is my opinion based on being on the receiving end of MP inquiries and freedom of Information requests. First what is the up side? We learn what may or may not be happening with our application. It changes nothing.
On the down side you attract attention to your file. Yes it can be a good thing but they are humans. If you only get a call agent chances are nothing happens. They look on a screen and give you an answer. If you progress past that you are taking up someone closer to your files time and attention. Once no big deal. Repeated requests hmmm I wonder. I know that those who annoyed us got the attention they desired but they also got our attention. We followed the regulations very closely. If we did not have to respond by 60 days it might be the 60th day when we did. Not always but we were human.
Because my knowing what is happening with my file only benefits my own curiosity I will wait until the timelines are well exceeded. I will call just not too often. I like to think of it as too many credit checks on your file lowers your rating. Yes I could be wrong but we are dealing with humans. I know which side I want to err on. Again this is only my opinion.

I can see where you're coming from with repeated MP inquiries to a certain extent, but ordering GCMS notes doesn't affect anything and is a plethora of valuable information to obtain. I have seen many people regularly order notes without any delays or extra scrutiny to their files. It's not even the VO or the officer processing your file that pulls and sends the notes to you.

And if you need the information to prepare or anticipate great I am all for it. The resources have to come from somewhere. All I guess I am saying is really think about each request.

Very good point! This is really what confuses me why some seems to be in a "panic" mode, where in fact, some December2015 applicants doesn't finish yet.

I guess, calling the call center and requesting for GCMS notes, won't really have a big effect since like what you've said call center agents are looking on what is shown in their screen. GCMS notes could be just being printed by someone.

...but going to the MP, seems like a "lot" for me especially if you are still within the processing time.

I called. Many times, you'll get agents that are not willing to open your file on their computer for whatever reason. Don't waste time, say thank you, and dial again.

Haha - I am lucky too - I don't have to ask for gcms Note. Nice lady (agent) asked me what I need before pulling out my file and I told her that I want to verify if CPC Mississauga is where my Application is sent. She pulled out my Application, verified my identity and said, "ooh! that is wrong, we have VIENNA here."

Once I see eligibility passed or recommend pass I will stop ordering them as I already know medical passed and there will be no issues with SEC/CRIM.

True. I didn't go to MP to ask about my file directly, I went to ask what was going on with certain VO's processing applications in 2 months when they are listed as 19 months and others moving really slow. The MP offered to look into my file so I agreed.

I called again despite the previous lady told me not to call two days ago. And yes, my eligibility is passed! However, the nice lady told me there's some delay in CPC-M so they have not sent out the mail.

By the way, my case will still be sending to Hong Kong, although me and my wife are now physically in Canada. She told me our case might either go to CPC-O or HK, but they choose to forward our case to HK.

No SA again today :( applied April 6th.

I would try calling, but we never get through this late and tomorrow is Saturday. Oh well.

lol, if so I think that person needs some redbull. Maybe CPC-M is having lots of people go on vacations right now, I don't know.

From what it seems on here it's possible we could have gotten approved in the past couple days and they haven't sent out the mail/email yet.

CIC seems so inconsistent in how they send out information. I received an email on the 17th of May about how they needed my FBI check. Then yesterday I received a brown envelope in the mail from CIC that I thought maybe was my COPR since I got DM last week but nope - snail mail request for my FBI check. It would make more sense if it was all or nothing one way or another.

I know how discouraged you must feel, it's awful to wait and see others around you getting it. It's coming...Mississauga seems to be really slow at sending the notifications
