Is the 2016 outland spreadsheet gone? :o Or is my computer just wonky right now?
Someone broke/deleted the spreadsheet. It really makes me angry when people do crap like that.

Edit: Oh, it's back now.

Politically, there is a very very big difference between Harper VS. Trudeau and Hillary VS. Trump. I wouldn't call it the same at all.

Eh, CBSA is only nicer to people who are PRs or Citizens. I have a harder time with them than US border security, but then again, I'm American. My Canadian in-laws actually get hassled more by CBSA than the American side.

Well, day 47 and no news. I was kind of hoping to see my PA side switch to "in process", but oh well. My SA side has been in process for a month now.

wanna hear something funny back in 2015, when i went to Tijuana to get root canal... i was pulled into the secondary inspection at San Yisdro land crossing. cuz i walked back from Tijuana side back to the California side. the officer asked me everything in Spanish.. i got so lost and said "sorry. i dont understand." in English.. lol.. and then i was told this is a random inspection... took my ID and passport.. after 5 mins, no question was asked.. told me free to go now.. lol.. then i realized.. hmmm.. i looked around; everyone else is Mexicans.. i am the only Asian.. makes the perfect sense..

I have traveled between Canada and the US for at least 100+times.. searched twice on the US side, once at the Canadian side.. both with a rental car. no luggage or bag what so ever. cuz my car was in the shop; going to bellingham for a day trip.. Canadian side, i only made 30.00 purchase of food and a tank of gas... i think the CBSA side thought nobody would only buy that little stuff.. lol... then i have times with up to 200.00 USD in the same day.. no problem. as long as you claim it.

Hey Reynold21,

the spreadsheet says youre in processing. but youve had no SA. does it say in processing on the applicants side? if so, then you prob got SA. should give them a call and find out.

i posted it yesterday but nobody replies, like i said my sponsorship application is in process and so is my common law partner. i haven't recieved any email yet from cic regarding SA. i was thinking they process both our apps at the same time.

That's not completely true. Many people who have DM right now and who have received their COPR never had their SA portion of their eCAS update and received their official SA after they went "in process" and never had their eCAS update for it. A lot of the people who did receive SA did so a while before they were ever notified (some found this out after calling the CIC. Others were mailed their SAs). While they may be processing some applications on both sides at the same time, it's more likely that you have received SA already and haven't had correspondence yet, since they send out the emails in batches after it's technically already done.

They can't usually. Any information they give us when we call is because they send an inquiry to Mississauga about our SA when we ask. When I called, they responded that the SA is "in process".

thanks. probably means you got SA. that seems to be what most other similar examples have meant. really depends on the person you speak to. some can help.

no, just pa side.

hello everyone,

Just a quick question, i am applying for my wife for spousal family sponsorship for Canada, I am attaching about 100 of photographs of our marriage. is it necessary or advisable to write the names of the people and their relationship with the principal applicant on the back of each photograph.

Please and thank you.

I would do as many as you can. It's not a requirement, but I think it's a good idea. Maybe not everyone in the picture, but write the names of the important people (close relatives like your parents or siblings, etc). I did probably 75% of the photos from my wedding this way, but the rest I didn't do.

No problem. As I said, it's not required, but it can't hurt.
