Medical is expensive especially in some countries and it's really unfair to request applicants to include proof of upfront medical when the listed processing time is over 12 months.

agree >:(

So no AOR1 as of yet, but

CIC have updated their processing times to be country-specific, so for applicants from the UK its up to 14months instead of the 17months ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

that sounds better than 17:D
especially for us, wanting to move may/june 2017 :D

Woo! I have news. SA is now "In Process" in eCAS. I wasn't able to log on until now.

Sponsor's side:
We received your application to sponsor xxx on April 6, 2016.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on April 28, 2016.
We started processing your application on April 27, 2016.

On my (the principal applicant's) side:
We received xxx application for permanent residence on April 6, 2016.
Medical results have been received.

I can't wait to get SA and have my file transferred...

How did you guys get your AORs? Is it thru email or mail? And if you receive AOR, does it also include the UCI number where you can check it online?

I received my AOR1 by email (to the sponsor application email address). It has the file number, which begins with "F" and UCI number along with some general information including a link to Ecas. In my case, I noticed my UCI number was the same number assigned a few years ago when I immigrated as a student.

I suggest checking the spreadsheet to see if your sent date aligns with anyones. It's always reassuring to see the movement. Good luck!

Got my AOR today! spreadsheet has been updated!! good luck to everyone who are still waiting on AOR

Remember not all people get aor even though its from the vo. So if it passes the processing time and you dont havr it it doesnt mean it wasnt approved.

Be vigilant and check. Moat recieve through email.

Question..I made some mistakes on my application forms and since now I have a UCI/Reference number to quote with, I would like to send a letter to CIC to update the changes. How should I do that? Do I send a letter to the Mississauga office? Or do I do the online web form?

Hi,
my common Law partner - the sponsor -got the email with
his UCI number and Application Number!
:)

What does it mean:
is he approved to be a sponsor and they will send the paper now to the right office?

Will everything go over his UCI number and Application number or will I get one email to as an applicant???

So he has to log in and we can check our status!
what will we see for changes?

thanks!
Will they right emails when they need documents or anything or do I have to log in in his account with his UCI number?

thanks!
Emma ;) :D :)

Finally can log in and see the application was received on April 1, and started in process on April 25.
Hopefully everyone can get it soon too

I have a question about this new option when checking the processing time. I chose "sponsoring a family member", "spouse living outside of Canada"and the I can pick the country. But which one? The one the main applicant lives (Me, in Germany) or the one the sponsor lives in (him, Canada)? Any ideas?

Yaay, just got AOR too yesterday! (Just found out).

What happens next now?

My medical was almost 600$ USD total (Dr. charged a 200$ fee for his services...he did hardly anything..plus hospital fees for x ray etc). My health insurance only paid like 60$ max, hah.

Since you want to move in May/June, are you going to redo your medical? I was thinking mid may too but I was told that the medical would expire and the expiry date on the visa is usually the expiry date of the med exam.

I live in UK, paid £300 and nothing was covered obviously lol. I think they should be valid longer for this amount of money as most of time it takes over a year to get PR and you have to have it upfront;/

I think you chose then Germany as it will be more likely forwarded there after SA?

If I will have to then I will, I still just hope that process will go quick so I will be able to land before Feb, wishful thinking lol.

Where are you planning to move?:)
Just noticed your youtube channel, will subscribe:D I see you have a cat, we do too, worried how we will take her with us!
