I just compared the older application form to the new one, and other than a slight change in word spacing in one sentence, i saw no difference. *panic over* :)

So i'm on the CIC Client Application Status page which it says they update the application status on Tuesdays. The visa package was tracked and the courier delivered it to their offices yesterday, but still can see no acknowledgement of it on the CIC website ugh :(

Yes there is no difference. I called CIC yesterday just to make sure and the lady said if you have sent the application before the application form was updated(in this case it is 9th April, my guess as I was checking the website everyday) then you are safe.
i just sent my application april 8 and i think i sent the old imm1344.. should i be worried? do you guys know the date of the older one? this is so stressing. :(

If you see the cic webpage(http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp) the date modified is April 9 2016, which means the new form was uploaded on that day. Since your application was sent on April 8, you are safe.

You will receive AOR and SA which takes now about 36days. So you have to wait

I did not know that SA takes 36 days now.. i think it was around 60 days last month. Hopefully they will reduce the processing time for pr application as well :)

I think I remember canuck_in_uk mentioning that it's normal for SA to fluctuate between 30-60 days and it doesn't mean that anything has actually been changed. I haven't actually seen anything that proves they have changed things. I've seen statements that they are going to, but I don't think they have just yet. And if I remember correctly, processing times normally speed up a bit during this time of year. I don't mean to be a downer about this by the way, I just don't think they have actually changed anything yet.

People need to calm down about IMM1344.. There is exactly one change in the form and it is as follows:

On Page 2, Section: Sponsor Eligibility Assessment, Question 5:

Old IMM1344: "In the five years preceding your application..."
New IMM1344: "In the five years preceding this application..."

I don't think anyone will get their application returned because of this.

Sometimes the CIC will return applications for very small reasons. Just a few months ago many people had their applications returned because they didn't include forms that weren't applicable.

Talking of non applicable forms: im not including imm0008DEP, either representative forms or stat dec of comm-law. Should I write NA on the checklsits for any I'm not including?

That's what I did. It's not required, but I did it for peace of mind. Other people have done this too.

Sweet. I'll make sure to do it for both application checklists.

Yeah, after what happened to some people a few months ago I wanted to be extra sure that it was obvious the forms I didn't check off and submit weren't applicable.

Thanks for drawing my attention to this. My wife and I signed all the forms last night. Just redid the IMM1344 form and will reprint today!

Did you see the difference between the forms? The one I filled out has the date of 08/2014 but myhusband had to signet too and it looks the same to me.
