Well, I applied for Conjugal visa since I and my boyfriend for 5 years cannot get married due to my marital status. I was married. Had an annulment last 2014 but was denied last year 2015 of September. I guess Conjugal visa applies to our current situation.

I personally would ask on the main part of the forum if this is enough. You'd be surprised how many situations people think will qualify for conjugal status and then don't. Why can't you get divorced? I realize this is more of a personal matter.

There's no divorce here in the Philippines. As I said I had an annulment last 2014 but was denied last year 2015 of September.

I hope conjugal works for you then. I would still ask for other's opinions to be 100% sure, since I'm not an expert on conjugal. Good luck! :)

Me too. I think what you have will be sufficient, but as I said I'm not an expert. I hope you get a speedy AOR.

I agree with Decoy Denela.

Proving Conjugal is very difficult for a lot of people. I don't want to make you worried, but it is realistic to expect getting approved for conjugal wont be easy. Normally a barrier to the two of you being physically with each other, such as war, conflict, lack of ability for either of you to get visa's to each others countries etc is what counts for conjugal.

CIC may look at your application and wonder why you don't just go and live in each others countries and wait for commonlaw.

Post a brand new thread in the forum and seek experienced users help. Put 'conjugal visa eligibility' as the forum post name and write your comments and queries there. I'm sure you'll find answers to all your questions that way.

Wish I could be more help and good luck with everything.

That's true, I had forgotten about common-law. Is it possible to establish common-law with a person when the applicant is still technically married to someone else? If so, Denela could technically apply for a TRV and "visit" the sponsor for a year to establish common-law, or the sponsor could visit the applicant.

yeah I'm not sure. It wouldn't be as big a deal as it would be with spousal so it just depends. thats why it may be better to seek help outside the april thread, as all of us here are commonlaw/spousal applicants with little knowledge on the conjugal app process.

commonlaw with an annulment should be fine though i think.

In other news, my wife's cant access her email which she gave to CIC on her IMM1344 form. Some weird problem with security authentications and password reset issues.

Looks like I may be in the dark about AOR until we sort this issue out. Always something haha.

Denela said they were denied for an annulment.

You could use a Case Specific Enquiry to send in a use of representative form if you can't fix the email issue and put yourself for the representative, that way any correspondence she would have gotten will go to you. They'll be able to find your file without a UCI or file number most likely. When I emailed CPC-M I didn't have a UCI or file number and they found my file just fine. The webpage where you fill out the CSE even says that these are optional.

Well, I'm under the time anyway right now. So long as I get my SA in the right amount of time I'll be happy. Will prob just wait til the 40 day mark. Can't imagine the email issues continuing. Been down for a couple days though. Internet and email security is getting tighter and tighter, so much so that when I go abroad I can't log into my emails as they want to send me a text to confirm its me, but then my phone doesnt work overseas haha. Alas.

It is definitely very frustrating to solve email account problems. Especially with ones that do not have customer service. There are accounts I've never recovered as they went under new security upgrades when they were merged with Microsoft. I now strictly use gmail. Perhaps if you get a chance, set up an email forward to a secondary email address. I used to do this when I had email accounts that didn't work while abroad. I hope you get your SA soon!

Well, speaking of technology issues, my internet just decided to stop working every few minutes and when it does work it's very slow.
