hi everyone,

Just a quick question, for spousal sponsorship forms, any additional pages we are attaching with the forms, do sponsored person need to sign on these pages or no?

As well on all the additional documents like civil documents, does need to be signed by sponsored person?

Thanks
No. The only things that need to be signed are the forms themselves, where applicable. I submitted copies of my passport, birth certificate, and a name change document (my last name on my birth certificate doesn't match my passport or any other documents. It was changed when I was still a child). I didn't sign any of them. The only time you would need anything extra like that is if you needed certified copies of documents signed by a notary, stating that it's a true copy of the document, which is usually only for translated documents.

Hi!

I just want to raise some questions, as follows:

1) Regarding the ECAS. How come it’s been almost a month now since I’ve got my AOR1 and yet, I can’t still view the Sponsor’s side? Do I need to phone them to address my concern on this matter?

2) When am I supposed to do the counting for the processing of SA? The day I received an email from CIC that may apps has been received? Or the one stated there on AOR1 stating that “Your application has been received last April 22, 2016?"

3) To those who got their SAs, when you say you received it via mail, does this mean that you have received a letter from them? (hard copy-though no update on ECAS and email still).

Highly appreciate the response guys. :)

1: Call them and ask about it. This has been a common issue lately. However, the most likely will refuse to tell you anything about the status of your application if you're not over the 43 days for SA (depends on the specific call center agent).

2: Since they received your application in the mail, not AOR.

3: I haven't even received an official SA yet. I called about it yesterday and the call center agent said my husband was approved as the sponsor on Friday, May 27th and I should expect an email with in 5 days and if I don't receive an email by then he said to call back and they'll tell Mississauga to mail us a hard copy. Some people do receive SA by mail (a letter). As far as I know, it's the exact same document as what you would receive in an email.

Hey Guys.

Been following this thread for awhile. Anyway, i received AOR on April 28. I just called yesterday and they told me that i already have SA since May 24, 2016. They forwarded my file in VO Abu Dhabi. ( I am currently in Oman) My Ecas shows Sponsor's side "in process" whil PR side "application received."

Now, if i get my PPR from VO Abu Dhabi, will it be possible to request for my Passport to be delivered in Philippines instead of Oman? I plan to quit my job by Sept of this year.

Many thanks, Decoy. You're really a big help! :D
Congrats too!

cheers,

You can try sending a Case Specific Enquiry explaining the situation and asking that if they need to return the passport in September or after that they send it to the Philippines instead. This may or may not work. You could also wait until September and send a CSE to change your address.

Many thanks, Decoy. You're really a big help! Cheesy
Congrats too!

cheers,

No problem ;D and thanks. SA after so long was a huge relief.

32 days since getting AOR 1. Slowly getting impatient... even though I'm not under any time pressure :o

I know how it is... I don't know which was worse. Being over the time for SA, or when I was at 32~ days as well knowing that any day I could end up getting SA. Hang in there ;D. Just know that even if you end up over the 43 days that there's hope and you don't need to worry about something bad happening. It took 54 days for me, one day shy of being exactly a month after I got AOR.

day 43, no update on ecas;/ getting impatient

You should call the call center when you get the chance. There seems to have been a big batch from Friday. The emails for that batch haven't completely been sent out yet. I'm still waiting for my official SA email (the guy from the call center was very helpful and said Mississauga said it should be emailed out within 5 days and to call back if we never receive it).

I think it only works in Canada. Not sure where you are.

Hi good morning

Just quick question from seniors who received AOR from ndvo, do we need to provide PCC and landing fees proof even though we provide already before , when submit application.
