hi tweetybird. did you guys apply there in mexico. the reason i ask is because my wife is waiting in chile and our file was transferred to the Mexico City visa office as all files are being processed there. therefore, we are applying from chile but through the mexico city office. I am wondering if you guys are from mexico or another latin country. your dates are similar to ours so i am glad you guys got the PPR.

Just to make sure, you applied outland right in April and you haven't received SA yet. If you haven't i would be checking your junk email and if it's not there i would be calling. If you have received your SA and your file has been transferred to New Delhi,i think not 100% sure but they send out AOR. I would also ask this in the New Delhi thread. They could have sent it to the wrong email address. You are way out of status for your SA.

Hello! Am I in the right place? I sent in my application in April. Heard that it was received in June. Documents were requested in October, and I just sent them in today. How long do you guys think it will be before I get permanent resident status? Everything is in. Medical, FBI Clearance. Money.

Sent to Mississauga but is being processed in Ottawa. Any help?

what documents were requested and what was the due date on the request letter sent by CIC? it is somewhat unusual that an April applicant from ottawa is still waiting (though not unheard of). we have an ottawa spreadsheet tracking the progress of applications. it is the blue link in my signature below. feel free to add yourself.

They requested more passport sized photos of myself, the RPRF, another copy of my passport page, and my original police certificate again. My FBI clearance request was sent back due to a bad fingerprint job, and I had to resubmit it. I resubmitted it in September and JUST received them Dec 26. (Apparently they got a new system the week I resubmitted them and slowed the process down a lot.)

I am brand new to this forum and am unsure of all the abbreviations. I opened the spreadsheet, but a bit confused. By the way, thanks for the prompt response! :)

well it's safe to assume as soon as you get everything to CIC they will probably issue the visa. those are the last things needed before they can make a decision. Decision Made (DM) *usually* happens ~ 2-4 weeks after CIC receives everything requested. so the sooner they get everything, the sooner your process will be complete.

it's important to get the requested information back to cic before the due date listed on the request. not doing so can result in the application being cancelled. if the date has already passed or is close to passing because of a delay out of your cotrol, then it's best to communicate to CIC as soon as possible to let them know of the issue and you are working to get it completed.

here is a list of the acronyms.

Yes, I made sure to communicate all of the delays with them, but as of Friday Dec 26, everything is in and now I wait. I just want to take the time and thank you again for your help. This board has been really helpful. :)
