The visa office is Different ..

Except INDIA(New Delhi) , Everyone is getting visa within 4-5 months .

Hope they will speed up soon to reach 2014.

The Number of Days , to process application date , on CIC website is a an average of application processed in the last year. Each case is different and each Immigration Officer handles a case upon his/her satisfaction - if they are satisfied with the documents and proofs provided, then all is smooth.

We have cases in ADVO - where people got their Visa in 6 Months ( No-one knows why), we also have cases where people got there Visa in 16 months and some up-to 24 Months.

At the end it all depends on how well the application is documented and also the Immigration Officer dealing with your case.

Jbedi just posted this in 'NEW DELHI - 2014 APPLICANTS' forum page.

Andrewset posted this in 2013 forum. Looks interesting:

"New dataset has been published by CIC:

Here is the latest count of number of spousal apps received at NDVO:
June:655
July:542
Aug:468

Sep:390
Oct: 344
Nov: 269
Dec: 330

As you can see, they got slammed in June, Jul and Aug with 450+ apps.

Sep has been considerably lesser with Oct, nov and Dec being even lesser.

I heard from the MP office yesterday that even though they have resumed normal processing times, some of the Pakistan files have gotten transferred to NDVO but that they are still giving priority to India spousal apps first.

Plus, I was told that they have gotten some kind of internal directive that they need to bash out all 2013 apps ASAP in the next 45 days. Hope these are valid intel I received".

As of July 18th, our application status says "In process". I guess that's a good thing and hopefully a decision gets made soon.

Assuming everything is fine, does "in process" usually mean a decision gets made soon?

Hi everyone!

As some of you might remember, last week I was concerned because I never got an AOR or heard anything about my SA. Well after phoning them and starting a search, we got AOR today! They say that they received the application on April 14th so I'm guessing it was just misplaced once they got it! Just happy I don't have to send it again!

Statuses: Sponsor Approval "Decision Made", Applicant (me): Application Received

waiting waiting waiting...

In process is a good thing! Congrats! If no addl docs are required and/or no interview is scheduled, you should get a DM soon! ;)
Keep us posted. Good luck!

I actually envy the VO's with lots of people, at least it's easier to keep track of when its going to be your turn.

Beijing is supposed to be fast, but I haven't heard anything from them yet. I think i should hear something this coming week or so but who knows with government workers. When I look at months before us there is usually 1 with the Beijing VO but it seems like most of them in March/ February have gone to ground and by most accounts should have either received their visas already and didn't bother posting or just stopped coming to the forum.

have you searched for a thread specific to your visa office? there may be a spreadsheet that tracks the progress of all applicants.

I have, there isn't .. there just are not that many of us... best i can tell right now is there are a total of 5 people who should be paying attention to the Beijing office, but only 2 are actively waiting (me and another guy) and the other 3 haven't logged onto the forum in weeks/months. (2 of which have had PPR)
