I think our application is finished (my head hurts) Just waiting for a couple of letters to arrive from Canada re: our intent to return there. Will review the file and then off it goes. And the panic begins :'(

You might as well wait until you have it all. A couple of more days is not going to hurt . The panic set in for me too when i posted it off.

I will join the club hopefully!!! Our application will be ready to be send tomorrow :) ::) Mixed emotions….

That is great news!

I know what you mean about mixed emotions, but it will pass. You could drive yourself mad constantly thinking about it and second guessing yourself.

All will work out in the end and any mistake we have made can be corrected somehow, although we do not want to add any more time to the waiting lol

Good luck and can't wait to see you added to the spreadsheet.

Thank you for the kind words dcgroo

I couldn't have described my feelings any better. After 1,5 months of preparation we are finally there. I lost 11 pounds since we started preparing the documents… So stressful…

I will write here once the application is received by CIC so I can join the holy spreadsheet :) I wish best of luck to all and hope we will be with our loved ones as soon as possible!! Maybe this week we'll see some AORs and SAs, fingers crossed!!

Hello out there!!

I am another to add to the sheet and after following these forums for so long it is such a relief!!

My details so far:

FAM - Common Law
VO Sydney!
App sent 4.17.14
Med Done 4.8.14

Just waiting for Easter to be over so they will receive my lovely package!! Will let you know when I know it has been received. I am assuming they email me or something, or do I just go by tracking and assume that not only did it reach the destination but also the right desk/pile and not the dumpster!!! Gosh that came from nowhere and made me nervous for a moment!!

Looking forward to seeing how we all progress through this and fingers crossed no hiccups or red flags or crazy mishaps all round.

Hi everyone, thank you for the updates.

I sent my application on March 29, 2014 and it was delivered on April 2 in Mississauga. Waiting for the reply.

I'm trying not to panic but...
We signed our papers March 25th when I took them to Mexico. I know they updated the IMM 0008 in November 2013 which was the latest version we had. I just checked now and it looks like they updated the IMM 0008 form in March 2014. GRRRRRR!!!! Well we already mailed out our application so hopefully they still accept the november one. I know I checked at the beginning of March if they updated anything else so they must have updated end of March. If they want us to redo the form I'm sure they will send it back. Doesn't look like they even changed anything grrrrrrr

I just realized an issue with my application as well.

My PCC was dated December 10th and I didn't realize it had to be less than 3 months old when it is received by the sponsorship VO (Missassauga). Our application was received on April 11.

Think I should just start working on getting a new PCC now to have it ready if they request it, or is there a chance they will accept it as it is 4 months old?

FBI website says processing times are only 22 days, which is way down from when I requested it originally last year and it took about 3 months to get it back.

My spouse is going to send the complete application to CIC today. Please count me too in the forum. Since I could not get any response from FSW category that I had applied back in 2010, we have decided to begin the spousal sponsorship package too..

Dcgroo, I'm a Dec 2013 applicant, but I was in the same position as you. My husband's FBI check was expired by 3 days by the time it arrived in Mississauga. There was no issue with my sponsorship application (processed in the posted # of days at the time) and the file was sent to Ottawa. Once the file was transferred in January, my husband ordered a new FBI check. We didn't want to take any chances that having them request it would lead to delays. It took about 7 weeks to get it. We then had it couriered to Ottawa. He emailed them a few days after it was signed for to see if it was successfully received. They responded in the affirmative. Assuming you are going through Ottawa, even if it takes 3 months to get your FBI check, you can probably send it along before they possibly request a new one. Better to be safe than potentially have your application paused for a month or two, right? :)

MapleLeafBride, thank you for the advice, that is exactly what I am going to do as well. I had already gone ahead and printed off a new fingerprint card. Like you said, why take the chance? After all that we go through to make our applications perfect little things pop up, but by being pro-active we can hopefully resolve them before they become a bigger issue and potentially cause delays. I want to spend Christmas with my wife and step-daughter in Canada this year! Wishful thinking? Maybe, but that is what keeps us going.
