Yes,,me,,,I was requested to redo the medical(Feb 20,2015)after ECAS changing to in process(Feb 11,2015) as my medicals were expired on 1st Feb 2015

Hey GMG - sorry for the late reply - Did you hear anything back from your VO ? We just got a re-med request on 9th April - Just handed it in today. Any members here can share how long on an average does it take after re-medical, I also understand each VO is different.

Ours went in progress in Oct 2014 - atleast in your case you got your remed request right away, we were sitting ducks until now.

Its official for us....One year today and not a single word...case notes show no action since Aug2014 but for my requests for Case notes...Everything done up front and not a word..I am pretty sure that Medical has now expired...Police back ground checks all expired...

as long as the police checks were RECEIVED within 90 days, then most likely it's not going to be an issue. the visa office has the ability to extend medicals, so that may not be an issue either. is the file being processed in ottawa and is the applicant a US citizen (not resident)? have you contacted your MP yet to see if they will inquire? it is pretty odd that a us citizen is taking this long without any requests for additional documents or interview.

Also, looking at your previous posts, i'm not sure where you're getting this 28 month timeline. The times posted on the cic site are not averages. they are worst case scenarios, and a majority of cases are approved in far less time. US applications process in Ottawa. LA is where us applicants have interviews and NY doesn't process family class pr applications.

No,,nothing till now,,It's been almost 7 weeks after remed and still waiting,,,,In my VO(and not only my VO)people usually get their ppr after 2 to 4 weeks,,but mine is taking longer don't know why,,maybe because of the turn,,by the way it's good news that u got remed request,,at least it is better to get some news even remed request than waiting without having no news.Hope and wish that u get ur ppr very soon and don't wait long))

In our case when we saw our ECAS change to "In Process" in October we were very excited and hoping to get PPR by December - but we didn't hear from them. So we decided to order the notes in Feb and it took about 4 weeks. We saw that the last update on the file was " Request for med-ext and pay RPRF " this update was in mid December and since then no correspondence from them and it was already March when we were looking at the notes.

We right away payed the RPRF Fees and it gave us a good indication about our Security Clearance and Background Check and if they were to ask for any additional documents.

RHCohen...I had a look at the sheet you attached...interesting that but for one application all the other April ones are all over 350 days...We were told that all of the applications for US were being sent to LA by the Minister's office....when we went to Montreal last month the immigration officer advised us the case was back in Ottawa but when we got the case notes everything is still in LA and the case has not been touched since August 2014...I wonder if the others are finding their cases have not been touched for months?...I am so disheartened you have no idea...I am watching my mother fade away mentally while we sit here in the States....

I think it's good that knowing from the notes u paid the RPRF before they requested u.
Cause Impresso,I found out smth regarding not paying the RPRF upfront,,,some of the experts of this forum told me that not paying that fee upfront can delay,slow down the process,,my hubby paid it,just when we got passport copies request and RPRF paying request(11.02.2015),,the lawyer asked him not to pay upfront,,,,Now I think maybe it's the reason of delay,,,+ maybe they have not reviewed my medical yet...is it possible that they won't view the remed within 2 months???my mind is full of doubts now...

Actually we did not know about the RPRF and also our lawyer did not mention it to us. I know that it is the last thing they ask. Didn't know it would cause delay either but thanks for the notes that we were able to see that right away.

I know and heard that the medical is uploaded to the system in about 3-4 days. Not sure how long it takes for them to actually review the medicals. My understanding is there are different groups withing the VO dealing with different aspects of the application.
