hey guys I just recieved my SA today :
Timeline
Application recieved my CIC 7th april.
Letter of aknowled.: May 25th 2014
Approval letter : May 30th, 2014

Application sent to visa office :Singapore

I have a question from now on will the correspondence from CIC be with my husband to his email?
Do they email first and then send a letter?
If he changes addresses can is there a way of informing CIC? I know Ill be heading back to Canada soon and ill update my address with them but my husband will soon be transferred (job related) and his address will change. We used his parents address but im afraid the house is a bit more rural and worried about correspondence .

Congratulations . Yes all correspondence now will be sent to your husband. You can contact cic for address change on line.

The website is not updated yet. 7:30 in the evening local time today they are suppose to update it but still the same.

i havent received SA as well its my 6th day was wondering as well if its normal.. my aplication was received the 31 of march , i received aor the 22 of May.

Hi guys,

just received my SA today...it was really weird, i got my AOR through email on the 21st...SA was in letter, sent from Canada on the 23rd...Got it on the 30th...
I live in upstate NY...u would be surprised that a 4 hour long drive took them a week...
anyway, and file transferred to CPC-O...

question 1. my ECAS already shows meds received...so the next update would be interview time? would they send a letter or an email? would it be reflected in ECAS?

question 2. my spouse is in US (we both are right now), so we had the choice of either applying from US or her home country. the process time on CIC's website is actually shorter for her home country...was it a bad idea to apply in US?...it's a scary 30+ month said on CIC...is that true?

Are you expecting an interview? It doesn't really matter if we think it was a bad idea you have already applied.

Hey guys, i had received mah AOR on da mrng of 28th may, it ws my representative whu told me 1 day late. Nd cic mentioned dat dey received ma file on 7th april, which means its nt dat ven v filed bt ven did cic actually received da application. Nw waiting for my SA. Plz update da spreadsheet. Thanks.

Hello Everyone

just stumbled upon this forum and I see its quite helpful. I would like to be added to the spreadsheet as well. What info do you require? I sent my spousal application for my wife and her son on April 2 and it was recieved by CIC in Mississauga on April 4. I just received my email on May 29 advising that I am eligible to sponsor (which is a good sign). AOR was received the day before on May 28. The Visa office is In Santiago, Chile (where my wife resides)

Cheers

Riley can you add the following info please to your profile Date medicals done, when you sent the application. [lease and thank you. This will give us all an idea instead of always going to the spreadsheet. Have you received sponsorship yet. You can always give cic a call and ask they can normally tell you since you have your AOR.

Hi there,

I have a question about sponsoring my husband to Canada(outland). We are filling in the forms now and in the guide they ask to to fill in the forms "You and each of your family members", so we are a little bit confused. Does my husbands family needs to fill in the forms because he is being sponsored? Or does this "each of your family members" only applies to the family members who are actually being sponsored to Canada if applicable?

Thank you!

Hey Gagan that is the day you filed the application not the day you sent it because that's when they received it.

No just your husband. If he has any dependents then they have to fill out the form too.

Saini you and i sent in our application the same day.. I should rephrase that, they received it on the 10th of April.
