I have just received GCMS notes that I requested Feb 18. The notes say "RECOMMENDATION: Appear to meet requirements". The only issue they had: "NOTES: Requesting proof of CDN Cit for spouse"

My concern is however that they didn't seem to have received my husband's birth certificate. They requested it on Feb 5, and I emailed it the very next day, but no update is shown in my GCMS notes issued on Feb 18. Is this normal? How long does it usually take (roughly) for my file to be updated?

Thanks in advance.

email them for acknowledge ment. Did they reqested medicals for you and your husband.,

You should see in the incoming section of the GCMS that they have received the email. It usually takes 1-2 days for them to update.

Send them an email that you have sent it before but also attached a copy just in case your previous email was lost for whatever reason.

Usually CIC are taking snapshot of the notes 2-3 days after request, than waits 27-28 days to send it. So it is possible that your GCMS notes reflects the state before they received your husband's birth certificate.

Nice point there pfse! :D

You're awesome! I've just found notes (in my GCMS) saying they received copy of the requested document. Thanks a lot!

I haven't received medicals -- I did upfront medicals as I became so impatient. And I am not accompanying my husb -- he's a Canadian citizen.

Thanks for the advice.

thanks for your prompt reply... one more question... when did it come to in process status? i know all cases are not same.. just curious to know...

Surprisingly, it changed to In Process the same say I got my RPRF. I paid it immediately.

A quick question:

I've just paid RPRF online (without request), and received an online receipt. I wonder where to email it? After searching online, I got this email address: CPPO-Cost-Recovery@cic.gc.ca. Is this a right one? Or as other requested documents, should it be sent to CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca?

Thanks in advance.

Did you get your passport back with the stamping? How long it look in your case?

Not yet. Probably tomorrow. It's already in our post office but was not delivered today. Will wait again for tomorrow.

That is correct. Though I have my RPRF but is should the same email address.

Ok, me again... ;D

Is there a way to confirm if they have received my email about my marital status change? I know COPR includes the applicant's marital status and I want to make sure the document comes with the correct information to avoid any complications/delays.

I was a common-law with a Canadian when I applied and later on married him. I emailed CIC a copy of our marriage certificate and his Canadian passport on March 11, but never heard back.

My passport reached Ottawa today.

I thought about calling the call center, but was wondering if you guys have any other suggestion/recommendation.

Thanks!
