I have " we started processing your application on January 29" on ecas and I haven't heard from CIC since then. Called help center and they told me that security verification is ongoing and it may take from several weeks to several months.

Congrats to all of you who have received the PPR email!!!

@ Anna2013

I understand your frustration! I am going thru the same thing here.
My time line is below my name, and on Ecas they have started processing my application on Feb 13. It has been almost 1 month, and got no news yet.
Hopefully by the end of this week we are going to receive the dreamed email! Positive thoughts always!

on my E-case, it shows they have started processing application on Dec 3rd 2014,, since then no updates yet,no RPRF request as well. :( :-X

Are you under security check? Call CIC or order GCMS.

Security checks are the longest process, in my opinion. They send your files back to the Canada embassy of your home country. They, in turn, will tap their third parties to do background checks. If you stayed more than 6 months to one country, they will do the same to that embassy.

I am not sure who does the Interpol and checking of each countries you've been too.

This includes your spouse well.

So if you are single, have 1 single address since birth in your home country, had 1 job ever since and the the only country you've been to is Canada then your checks will be way faster.

It is a recommendation to send both thru email (pdf copies) and photocopies thru snail mail (post). This is to make sure that CIC will receive them.

Thanks
I have sent both hard copies and soft copies of my T4 and NOA today...will they ask more documents or is it the final list what they have asked me now?

There is no change to my ECAS...it is still application received...btw I had done upfront medicals and RPRF

Hi admins- could someone update the spreadhseet with my RPRF info? It was received on March 10.

Thanks!!

No, I have not. Do they really give you information? I remember in the past they were saying that they cannot give any information about the file.

I applied for GCMS and hoping to receive it tomorrow. Nervous - wish me luck!

Have you called CIC?

What is GCMC?
It is GCMS. Not GCMC...
