Got the email for RPRF payment this afternoon. Just paid the fees and sent them the receipt.

All the best guys, hang in there and the email is on its way for everyone :)

Hey guys, congrats! I can't quote all of you, but this applies to everyone who received RPRF. I'm happy that things are moving along somehow for us. Eagerly waiting for my turn as well!

Hi Friend,
Below users have any update on their ECAS. Kindly provide your input. Just would like to understand where we are?

Status Application Received with 1) We received your app... 2) Medicals received. We're 1 or 2 weeks behind them if you consider the timeline of our medicals.

You are correct. But wanted to understand how many users are active and who got any update although paid upfront RPRF.

Nothing to report at this point - still only that ECAS says 'Application Received' and 1. We received your application for permanent residence on May 5, 2014; and 2. Medical results have been received (Jan 2, 2015).

Am expecting first GCMS notes later this month - just hope I'm not referred for the dreaded 2nd review....

No updates from me: 1. We received your application for permanent residence on April 14, 2014. 2. Medical results have been received.

I would assume, status will change to "In process" within next two weeks.

Guys, congratulation ! You have cleared all stuff now.

I did really silly mistake to pay upfront - RPRF payment.

What is your Eligibility status again? I don't think paying upfront or waiting for the email really would make a big difference.

The RPRF email states that my Eligibility is already Passed thus I received the RPRF request. My Eligibility was Recommended Pass before that hence I received MR way back November 2014. Their process makes sense now.

Hi there,

What do you mean by "My application is independent of myself only"?
I'm, by no means, an expert on this, but I think that if your partner is already a PR, you don't need to add him to your application- by that I mean you don't need to count him on that form that asks how many family members are applying for PR; you only need to put one (considering you don't have kids, etc.), and you only pay the fee for one person. However, you should've probably included him in that form that asks information about your family, including spouse and common-law partner, mother, and father.

Now, if you're saying you didn't even include him in the form about your family, I'm not too sure how you should let CIC know. Maybe a senior member could help with this?

All the best!

Thank you for your response. I do not know what to do. I hope someone can help me.

You are too much worried about RPRF....
I have the same situation.... But just wait.... Possibly we will receive PPR before all of others... Hold it tight buddy...

Can you tell us what is your ECAS?

Paying upfront RPRF is really a mistake.. will that slows the process?? I am really worried on seeing this :o

Absolutely no...
Paying RPRF is not a mistake... Once they promote your file to processing they check if RPRF is outstanding or not. If they find it outstanding you will get email, if you already paid RPRF then your processing will continue to next level..
Once that level completes you will receive PPR email(if you are not Visa exempt country).
This is what the process is...
They don't mind if you pay RPRF upfront or not....
The only difference is you feel that your file has pass the eligibility...

It seems a good idea to pay RPRF up front. See below:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-how.asp

b) The Right of Permanent Residence fee

The right of permanent residence fee is $490.00 per person. There is no fee for dependent children under the age of 18.

You will need to pay this fee if we approve your application.

Note: paying this fee early can help speed up the processing of your application, so it' s a good idea to submit it when you apply.

If you don't pay it when you submit your application , you must pay this fee before we issue any permanent resident documents to you.

We will refund this fee if you withdraw your application or if you do not use your visa.

You are correct and agree with you. But if we don't pay and get the request means VO is working on application.
It is kind of relief that ok our application will go next level. Here, now we don't know what's going on?

Let's wait and I'm not panic.

I really find your auto-correct amusing... :P

My eCAS is still the same - "Application Received" with only 2 lines there (application and medical received).
