Application Recieved at CIO - 10 April
AOR - 5 May
Recieved Medicals for me and my wife last evening - Nov-4

Sheet updated! Congrats and good luck!

Let's keep the ball rolling then :D

Got my medical done yesterday, had to cancel my appointment last week because of work. Since I researched a little bit, I hope others could take some help from my experience.

I live in Toronto and there are many panel listed doctors in Toronto, Scarborough, North York who do the emedicals.

The process -
eMedicals takes comparatively lesser time than the paper based medical tests.
You need to book your appointment in advance, better take your Passport and one photograph. Some doctors will ask for four photographs but emphasise that you are looking for eMedicals. If they do not have the facility then try elsewhere.

The process usually takes 1-2 hours based on waiting and consists of the following -
- Examination by the physician who asks about your known medical conditions, tests vision, measures BP, Height, Weight.
- Urine Test
- Blood Test
- Chest X-Ray
(like JSB said, usually it is the Reception that will direct you to which sequence to follow and where to go next.)

Usually blood and urine samples will be collected at the Doctor's office and you have to go out for the X-Ray (always located in close proximity)

The report gets uploaded in 5-7 business days and sometimes may take two weeks. It is good to call the reception after a week to confirm if they got all your reports and have or in the process of uploading your results. Do not nag them but a small reminder wouldn't hurt.

[Part 2 of 2]
Second part of my previous post. This is related to the doctors in and around Toronto that I considered.

I finally went to Richard Chan at 741, Broadview. Had heard good reviews about him based on how quickly he will upload the results and cheapest fee CAD 190. (INR 4200 is still way cheaper ;))
It is appointment only, weekdays 9-5. The receptionist will ask for CAD 150 cash for the medical test fee. CAD 40 has to be paid to the X-Ray clinic which is 400 meters away from the doctors clinic (855 Broadview Avenue)

Here are some other doctors which I considered based on fees or reputation (this is based on hearsay and Google search)

Name: Dharmavathy Jegatheeswaran
Address: 3852 Finch Ave, Scarborough

Fees is less CAD 190 cash, appointment only, might take upto 2 hours as the doctor may overbook patients. Read a few complaints that the doctor is slow in uploading the results and sometimes needed several reminders.

City: Toronto
Name: Francis Li
Address: 751 Pape Ave,

Fess CAD 250 cash, first come first serve basis. Sometimes there could be a long wait. Best thing is that the doctor is available on Saturday. No complaints related to delay in upload.

City: Toronto
Name: Lyndon F. Mascarenhas
Address: 200 St-Clair Avenue West,

Fees CAD 250, appointment only, weekdays. Enjoys very good reputation on the internet.

City: Toronto
Name: Gabor Lantos
Address: Medisys Health Group Inc.,

Fees CAD 283, not sure but may accept credit. Appointment only, weekdays. Good reputation and chances of getting an early appointment (guess because of higher fees)

City: Scarborough
Name: Ann Tsang
Address: 4002 Sheppardd Ave East,

Fees CAD 190 (need to confirm). No compaints about this doctor on the internet but I havent been able to reach this doctor on phone yet. Always get the message that the Dr Tsang office, the office closed .... Tried weekday - weekend, morning - evening, no luck!!

I will appreciate if more applicants will add feedback on the doctors they visited. It is always helpful for the other applicants.

@aashuk

Thank you for this feedback. I'm sure a lot of people will be helped and guided.

Sheet updated as well.

^The one at St. Claire W is the best. We did our follow-up with him and not with Francis Li.

Tsang has very bad reviews on the internet.

Francis Li - walk-in is ok + they're open on weekends. But bad experience with him. Our process got delayed 'coz of him, so I'd avoid him if possible.

Gabor also has good reviews.

Thank you aashuk,
This will surely come in handy.

Thanks!!! ;D

Yup! Yours should be arriving any time now. So I just received the MR of my youngest child, I called the clinic again but added all my kids to the appointment. I am just missing one MR for my other child.

My wife and kids just did their medicals last month and they are coming in Canada in two weeks. I also did medicals for my WP extension last year in July. Now i'm wondering if I will receive any MR for me or my wife at all? ::)
I guess I will find out soon.
