Hi, I completed my medicals today (05-Nov-14). Please update the sheet. I want to share my medical test experience for the benefit of others.
1. Called Fortis, Bangalore on 31-Oct and the available appointment was on 05th Nov which I booked.
2. If you have any questions, you should ask it when booking appointment. They don't even say what you need to bring for medical test.
3. INR 4200 (paid by credit card, though they said they only accept cash), original passports, copy of first and last pages of passport, MR form (IMM1017), asked 4 passport sized photos (but they used only one)
4. Approached Reception desk and the receptionist told me to meet doctor and come back. Waiting time was 20 to 30 minutes for the doctor. The doctor checked BP, vision and few more routine checks. She also verified our passports.
5. After doctor consultation, we went back to receptionist and she directed us to Billing and payment after which we did our chest X-ray. Waiting time for X-Ray was nearly 45 minutes.
6. Came back to reception and she asked us to go to blood and urine test. Waiting time here was about 10 minutes.
7. Back to reception again. She gave a copy of first page of filled in IMM1017 (as a proof) and told us the results will be uploaded within 5 business days. If you want you can give your email id to receptionist to get a copy of your medical reports.
7. It took nearly 2.5 hours to complete the whole test. Overall it was smooth. Personally, I liked the concept of coming back to reception after every test as I don't have to remember the tests, its sequence, directions all together. And yes, all these tests are to be done in same floor. ;D
Thanks and good luck to all April applicants who are waiting for MR.
