Hello Guys.
I have bad news. my file got returned because i dont have a proper birth certificate. i have secondary documents but showing wrong name.
CIC mentioned this

"IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO PROVIDE A BIRTH CERTIFICATE OR SECONDARY RECORDS THAT INDICATE YOUR DATE AND PERCENTAGE, PLEASE PROVIDE AN AFFIDAVIT THAT HAS THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION.
1) NAME OF APPLICANT
2) DATE OF BIRTH OF CLIENT
3) PARENTS NAMES. ".

i have an affidavit showing all these info as they asked now. i am now confused about what exactly should i attach with a file instead of Birth cert. ??

will they accept only affidavit as they mentioned ??
or
i still need more documents ??

I am in same boat.. I am also waiting for AOR and PCC document.

Eventhough I sent my application to Sydney, NS? The PCC should be sent to Ottawa? Sorry for too many questions, just confused. Thank you..

Sorry to hear about your case. I don't have an idea about birth certificate/affidavit.

Hi T.J,

If you have submitted your affidavit it should work. Please verify the spelling and wording in the affidavit is matching your supporting documents. In your supporting documents at least of them should have your parent names. If you are from India then you can include your 10 marks sheet which usually has your parent name. If you have all the correct info then talk to CIC folks over the phone.

FYI, I have submitted affidavit along with 10 Mark Sheet and Passport as supporting documents.

Hi ,

I filed my application on April 11th which actually delivered on April 14th. ECAS status is showing up as "Application Received" but I didn't receive AOR. I thought people are receiving their AOR first and then their ECAS status get updated. Its inverse in my case .....

What does this mean ...?

Just be curious, if without knowing the file number in the AOR, how do you log on ECAS and check the status.

I see, thanks! Seems this week is quite silent for AOR. My cc was charged last Friday, no AOR received yet.

I have got the AOR last week, and planning to apply BOWP. Also I didn't send my PCC in application package. So can you please let me know if I need to have my Passport with me while applying BOWP (asking bcaz for PCC I need to submit my original Passport).

Another question: can I get a visa with the BOWP? my employer did it for my WP I remember, can the same thing be done for BOWP.
