Sure we did. Another picture ID in replace of PR card.

What about Citizenship ID Card? They stopped giving it i heard. It was sure a convenient way to carry it around and produce as one of the picture ID required document. Is there any thing else in pipeline to replace it.

See above what you have mentioned. And you said you are closer to scarborough office but file was transferred to mississauga.

And you said you live 1 hour drive from mississauga...well it doesn't tell anything. you could have said scarborough. anyways good luck

When I was saying that in my post I was not even sure the way the cic was distributing files between the local offices. In the beginning I was positive that my file would go to Whitby as there used to be the local office in that town, but then while reading posts on this forum I found out that the Whitby office did not exist any longer and the local office for people with my postal code was set as the Scarborough office. So I started reading about Scarborough and their timelines. And then I read that as the Scarborough office was overloaded with applications the cic started sending the new applications to the Mississauga office, at the same time Scarborough was mainly dealing with possible RQ cases.
A for the driving distance - we don't live in Scarborough, we live close to Whitby.

Yes, unfortunately they do not issue Citizenship Card any longer, they are giving the Citizenship Certificates with attached loose pictures now.

I got notice to start preparing for the test on 6th Jan 2014 but no test date letter yet. Every body in our situation, please keep updated.
