Hi sheb,
I have not spoken to CIC yet. I think it is all fine however. I vaguely recall asking CIC before I sent int the application to confirm and the agent saying that if you provide a copy of your diploma from a school that teaches in English or French, you are fine. Everywhere else I read seems to confirm this

Thank you keesio!

Hi guys,
my file got updated at the end of last month. I did the test on Sep.16 and has been informed to expect the ceremony by the end of october. During the time of my PR i have traveled at least 50 times to the US and apparently that did not affect my application. Here is my timeline:

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on February 14, 2013.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on February 14, 2013. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application on April 30, 2013.

We sent you a notice on August 27, 2013 to appear and write the citizenship test on September 16, 2013 at 1:00 PM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment.

Can we pray for such a Christmas Gift for us?

We sure can pray, but I am doubtful on CIC's kindness.

We should always think positive - miracles do happen. :)

Agree with Suin! ;D

Btw, nothing important:
I called cic yesterday. they said that my file was not transferred to local office yet. She said my local office will be Vancouver. And she said it takes 6-8 month for files to get to the local offices. I asked her how my file looks like, she said good))) looks like nothing is missing…
Voila… just a little nonsense:)

Meanwhile, Happy Friday!

Thanks for the update. When they say it takes 6-8 months for files to get to the local office, do they mean from the date of receiving the application by them or the date they started working on it?

Happy Friday to you too! :)

I haven't asked that...But based on positive cases we heard recently, might be from received date...

Not even a sign of the application being transferred to the local office.

Hi everyone,

Looks like my Citizenship file also got transferred to Local office in Scarborough. I recently got RQ letter from Scarborough office asking me to provide additional documentation and prove that i was here at least 1095 days.

Every body who received RQ or are receiving please kindly let us know. Thank you.

My timeline:

Application received by CIC - March 28, 2013

CIC sent acknowledgement letter & book - March 28, 2013

Started processing application - May 29, 2013

RQ letter sent - Sept 25, 2013

Hi Moe!

Sorry to hear about that....

Have you traveled out of Canada during the last 3 years ?

Are you self employed ?

Just trying to figure out what could be the reason that they have sent you RQ....
