No, I didn't, I just used my office address because I was going to move.
And there is no "do not forward" label on the envelop

Ok, then I'm sure mine got sent to the old address and probably tossed away. Hopefully CIC can send me a new one.

I should have put my office address also. I was thinking the same thing. But I just said "meh, I'll update them after i move. Oh well.

I already did. I updated it a few weeks ago. But I think they may have mailed that package out before I had a chance to update it.

I see that I can download the brochure. But I'm curious what is in the letter. Is there anything of importance in there other than the usual "we got your application, thanks"?

Hello forum,
Good after noon, here is my time line. But i have a Q because after submitting my citizenship allication, i was away for 7 months for marriage and work purpose. will it affect my application

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on October 22, 2012.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on October 22, 2012. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application on February 19th, 2013.

Till now i am waiting for my test date, online status shows In process....

And the damn..stirke made the things more worse....only GOD can speed up the process for us:)

The other day I called the CIC, no news about the file transfer yet.

Just checked our e-cas this morning. We used to have two lines in our citizenship process - application received and application in process, now just one line is left - application in process, another has disappeared... what does it mean? does anyone else have the same situation?

I just checked mine and both line appears.

Strange...mine is still the same. I'll keep you posted if or when it appears back in there. Maybe they are working on the April applications now...

If you mean the table showing citizenship application status, then I have the same thing as yours. I used to get two lines (received and in process) but it is no longer the case.

Thank you for your reply. Do you remember when it disappeared?

I would like to ask you a question:
What have you exactly received in your mail with booklet. I received 3 pieces: Booklet, the A.Letter and another note about language something like" We will double check your language ability in interview"...I'm just wondering if you got this note as well?

Thank you in advance for your responces!! ;)

Hi Sheb, You can go to a LINC center nearest to where you live and take test with them. You need at least 5/5/5 in writing/reading/speaking. If you get less than 5 in any of the section, you need to study English and do the test again till you get at least 5 in all of the sections. Good thing is that the classes & tests are free :D After you do the test, they will give you a certificate with your score written on it. Send that certificate to CIC.

I got the same. I think it is just part of the standard package they mail to everyone.

They did not send us a letter about the 'language ability interview'. Did you send them any language test results with your application?

Sometime in July. I do not know if it is related to a file transfer to local office, or to the new style changes on the online services page.
