I am citizen of INDIA and I moved to US in 2002 to do my Masters Education and since 2002 I was in US on F1 visa and then worked in US on H1-B visa. I exhausted my H1-B quota of 6 years and came to Canada in 2011. I have applied for Canada Immigration under CEC. I am network engineer working in reputed IT company full time on work permit.
I have submitted my FBI finger print results and Canadian Reliability security clearance but not police clearance certificate.
Please let me know if Police Clearance Certificate from INDIA is must for CEC application ?

hey srikant yes it is must and u can apply ur indian pcc at BLS office u will get ur pcc in 2 week

Yes, you'll need India Police Certificate and US police certificate.

Yes you need Indian police clearence certificate too. If the applicant used to live and work in any other countries more than 6 months he needs to submit the police clearence each country where he work,Study.

BK.. It got charged on 10th May and got AOR on 16th May to my agent. However, he was out of the town and forwarded me yesterday.
By the time I got my AOR, e-CAS was activated.

Now I wonder how long does it take to update the E-cas status... still in my file it does not show anything.

Usually it happens in 2 to 3 working days post receiving AOR. you should see those days by tomorrow or day after tomorrow.

^Exactly! Same here... It's after office hours already so may be tomorrow unless the email comes even after regular work hours.

I was due to get it today, haven't received it yet but...my CC just got charged! so I'm happy it's a good sign and hopefully I should get the AOR email soon

That's definitely promising! Good news. So they charge the cc whenever they feel like it (inconsistent as always ) and sounds like there is no steady pattern. I believe BK 11 was worried about the fact his cc was not charged yet so it's good news for him too.

Hey celle17, thats very nice to hear! In my case I included an online receipt so I dont get any indication on my credit card account. Anyways no other choice, I will just have to wait.

Yep it may come after hours I received my at about 6:45 pm EST.
