Unfortunately not. Just got another doc request on the 18th because Vienna doesn't believe that we are common-law. I'm so mad. It's already 10 months since I've applied >:(

I saw on the Vienna thread....is it the one you said about rent receipts with both your names? I hope you have something from the landlord you can send to show that they won't accept you on the lease or you would have done it...send them all that you can to show that you at least have attempted to have this information.

Anyone need any updating on the April2013 thread? Please private message me if you need updating. :)

Hi NicAnn I guess you saw my recent posts on the CPP - Ottawa thread in reference to the discrepancies for various applicants being processed by Ottawa VO as to the time between PPR and COPR. It's really hard to figure what goes on in that VO. One thing I have learned from this whole process is that there is no certainty on how applications are processed.
By the way, have you moved to Canada yet? Warmest Regards.

We did. We included a letter from the landlord explaining the situation with the rental agreement but that he confirms that I moved in in April 2012. But now they ask - again- for a joint rental agreement which we don't have.
Utilities were included in the rent - so no proof for joint utility bills.
Since May 2013 we live in our own condo but both utility companies (electricity and Shaw TV) are not able to put two names on the invoices. So even for our joint condo we only have invoices in his name :( But at least other documents to proof we live together.
My paystubs at his address started in June 2012 and my cell phone bill in August 2012.
The landlord is the only one who can write another letter to confirm that I moved in in April 2012.
Joint bank account started in February 2013. I never had a joint bank account before and we didn't want one right from the beginning of our relationship.
We never looked at the immigration rules until like 6-8 months after we moved in together. So we didn't know that all these things are a "must" to apply as common-law.
We still thought we had enough proof :-(
So frustrating...

I know, I mean I saw that you are still waiting, and I was just saying to my DH last night how thankful I am that we somehow finally got through, even ours was a really long time (I thought it would be 4-6 weeks from PPR) after our PPR. It is strange how long it has been taking lately...and also chiqsherbet's timeline was almost identical to mine and still waiting also :(

I remembered seeing this somewhere and that I forgot to answer, had a busy weekend.. sorry Chala...

We are still in the process, we have a year to move my stuff, so I have most of it in storage right now and bringing over a few boxes at a time. I remember a few months ago seeing a husband complain about his wife from I believe it was India...he was upset because she was bringing more than one suitcase....!!! I had to laugh (and my husband couldn't stop laughing when I told him about it). I couldn't throw stuff out, yet, so I had to get a storage space until we can figure this out.

Hahaha that's so funny about the complaint from the guy because his wife brought more than 1suitcase.
We have a lot of things still in storage in the US since over a year. Starting to get a bit expensive. That's another hidden cost with this PR process which we don't realize at the start. Oh I hope they finalize this soon.
