Congratulations SJBYY529,

Can any one please tell me what is the format and text of the MR letter. Do they mention any thing about being eligible to get your PR or something like that. A sentence like this may allow you to study in universities without international fees and also get an OHIP.

Thanks,
-Khaled

Hi Khaled,

It is mention in MR that this request doesnt mean that you will get the PR. Even after getting PPR and stamping PR visa the officer at the border can reject (very rare) your PR.I hope this helps

Thank you

Quite standard format. A instruction for applicant and doctor and form IMM 1017. Did not mention anything about ppr. Need to do the exam in 60 days... Although my wife is travelling aboard right now. We are planning to do it next month......

Hi Venven,

Congrats on your record 6 month PR processing duration. Its amazing!

I am slightly confused about the advanced medical appointment you have mentioned. I tried calling couple of doctors in my area, but they all insist that they only proceed once you get the letter from CIC for medical.

Actually, CIC sends a medical request with the applicant's details printed on that letter. The doctor then fills that form, puts a stamp on it and then sends it to CIC, along with the results.

So I am confused how can your doctor send your medical results without that critical medical request form?

Was there some other document the doctor attached with your results?

He has copies of the form and i gave him 6 pictures pp size along with other supporting documents that i was told to take we fill the information out and he gave me the medical requisition forms to go get my medical done so i did ...remember not all categories requires that you wait for medical request some you have to fill out and submit with the application ...hence the DR you call just don't want to do it simple ...My friends did it and we all live in different but neighbouring cities in northern Ontario ...I don't know what else to say as that's what i did and that's what happened and we all got through in the same 5 to 6 month time period .

Hi ZT,

Can you please let me know whether you did your medicals in advance or you did after medical req?

Thanks!
I did it after I received the medical request. I had a PR application rejected once so I didn't want to take the risk of doing it in advance.

hi venven,

congratulation for ur big success...i am new in this forum..my husband's PNP timeline is almost similar as yours.i m giving his timeline below:

Application rcvd:23 April,2012
AOR+MD: 4 june,2012
MD rcvd:10 July,2012

my husband snd them an inquiry mail whether CPP-O has received our medical or not in July 4,2012...they snd a reply on 22 August that we have passed the medical and after that nothing happend..

our status:

we have rcvd ur application on 23 april,2012
mdcal results have been received..

its been 4 months already after our medical...when we can expect our PPR?

my husband applied inside from canada and he applied for me as his dependent..but i m not in canada...i m in Bangladesh..is that a reason we r not gettin our ppr early?
