it is included in the $1,040.00 the first time!! ;D

Oh, well they don't say it specifically, so I saw some table with various fees and I added what I knew we would need to have :)

New question: I can't find the link to read up about open work permits and if I qualify. I've read it before, but now cannot find it. I'm thinking since Buffalo is being processed in Ottawa, and we are now subject to the in-country processing times, we should be entiteled to its benefits....

Our VO is New Delhi, My husband forgot to write that his UK visitor visa was refused in 2007, (Background Declaration Schedule A) Point 6.

But he wrote that his canada tourist visa was refused before marriage as he wants to give me surprise before marriage and also ticked in the point 6(d) YES. Should he resend the form also mentioning about his UK tourist Visa Refusal, because also he has stamp in the passport about UK.

He travelled many countries for business also travelled UK too, but just missed to write about this Uk refusal he had once.

Is this misrepresentation ? or can he resend new form also mentioning about UK and send to Canada or Delhi will they accept it !

still application is in canada(missi) for sponsor approval , file no. is not generated.

Anyone who can pls advise this is serious.

Hi,
I my opinion its better to have all your documents in order to avoid any issues in future. Its good that you noticed it and you can take steps to fix it.The immigration officer might not even find the discrepancy, but if they did point it out, you will have lot of explanation to do.I would suggest get your form ready and as soon as you get you file number send it to CIC-M with a cover letter explaining the situation.
It would be easier for you to deal with the documents here rather than sending them to Delhi office.

Actually, once your file has been transferred out of the country, you will have to contact that office only with any new documentation. Mississauga will not touch it. Just make a case specific enquiry with the other visa office and you can then link it to your file number and attach the file as well.

I agree! Wife and I were talking about this very thing the other day. That would a very, very nice if they did treat us as in-country.

If you wanted "in-country" benefits then why not apply in-country? I was told by CIC agent that Ottawa is on Buffalo's time line, the processing times have not changed so we are not subject to in-country processing times.

So I just logged into our E-CAS and under "Permanent Residence Application Status" it says Application Recieved. Should I consider this an AOR for Stage 2??

I don't think it's an AOR. Our ECAS has said app received on the applicants side since the day I got sponsorship approval.. and hasn't been updated in the past month :-[

Aww poo. I guess it's just more waiting then.

Yep. It's a 'hurry up and wait' kinda game that CIC subjects us to. I check ECAS everyday in hopes that it'll change to "medicals received" or "in process" but I know even that is a long ways away.

For me ecas showed up yesterday for the first time after my approval (after 92 days) and it says application received may 8, so it's definitely not aor for stage 2.

On top of that on the sponsors ecas it says only application received even though we got the approval mail yesterday

It took a couple of days for us to show "decision made" on the sponsorship part. on the applicant part, I got very excited at the beginning because every day something was happening ( new address, application received, medicals received, etc) but now it's been a month almost since the approval, and nothing has changed... I just hope that they are working on it, and that I can get some news soon...

Good luck ( and enjoy the holidays in Greece - that sounds lovely!) for stage 2!
Cheers,
Sweden

Sunshine87, in the spreadsheet you indicated I got my stage 2 AOR from visa office. We actually received our passport request today. I am not sure if this qualifies as an AOR too? I think New Delhi doesn't send out AORs. Can you please update the spreadsheet to correct this?
